A "Saved By The Bell" reboot is in the works and all we went to know is if Lark Voorhies will be returning. More inside...

UPDATE [9-19-19]:

Plot twist!

"Saved By The Bell" alum Mark-Paul Gosselaar says no one has approached him about starring in NBC's reboot, which is weird because his character plays a pivotal role in the new series.

"I haven't been approached, so I'm not involved at the moment," the actor told E! News while promoting his new ABC series, “Mixed-ish.”

"I find that odd too ‘cause when I read that I thought, ‘Huh, I'm on mixed-ish,'" he continued.

Someone better get him on the phone...STAT!

In the era of reboots, a 90s fave is about to be revived.

A ”Saved By The Bell” reboot is in the works as part of NBCUniversal’s new streaming service, Peacock. And few actors from the original cast have already signed on to be a part of the reboot.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mario Lopez (A.C. Slater) and Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano) have already been confirmed to star in the revival. It’s rumored Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zach Morris) could potentially return.

The new series will reportedly follow Zach Morris as the governor of California. He will find himself in hot water for closing too man low-income high schools and proposes they send affected students to higher performance schools in the state, including Bayside High. The additional students will give the privileged Bayside students a dose of reality. It’s rumored Mario and Elizabeth will return as parents.

Writer Tracey Wigfield will pen the script as well as serve as the showrunner and will executive produce alongside original series creator Peter Engel and Franco Bario (Great News). Mario and Elizabeth will also produce.

All we want to know is if Lark Voorhies (Lisa Turtle) will return because what would a “Saved By The Bell” reboot be like without the fashion queen?

NBC’s new streaming service, Peacock, is set to launch in April 2020. We’re keeping our fingers crossed Lark Voorhies decides to come out of retirement and return to Bayside High in some capacity.
