Lena Waithe is doing the damn thing! More about her major deal with a mega studio inside...

Black representation on-and-off camera is becoming even more real!

Lena Waithe is now officially in the money-making club after landing this huge deal.

Creator, producer and EMMY winner Lena Waithe has officially inked an overall deal with Amazon Studios, following Viola Davis' first look deal with the studio. Waithe currently has three series on the air ("The Chi," "Boomerang," and "Dear White People") and an upcoming Amazon horror anthology titled, "Them."  She also put on her producer hat for what will probably be the most culturally releavant flick hitting screens this year, Queen & Slim.

The 35-year-old joins the list of prominent showrunners who have been landed mega major deals over the past seven months. Official details on the deal have not been released, but reports say the deal is for two years and in the eight-figure range. Bag secured.

The new deal will have Waithe executive produce "Them" and collaborate with Amazon Studios to create and exclusively produce new original series to premiere only on Amazon Prime Video. Her company Waithe Hillman Grad will also continue to develop shows.

"Lena is a powerhouse writer and producer, who also has a gift for identifying exciting and authentic voices,” said Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios. “Our upcoming series Them is the result of her rare ability to cultivate brilliant voices like Little Marvin and bring his wholly original and compelling vision to Amazon. We look forward to collaborating with Lena and her team for years to come.”

Let's go Lena!
