Descendants starlet China Anne McClain says she's taking a break from social media following the death of her friend/co-star Cameron Boyce. More inside...

When 20-year-old Disney star Cameron Boyce died unexpectantly, it hit young Hollywood tragically hard. He passed away after having a seizure related to an ongoing medical condition. Several of his friends and former co-stars took to social media to pay tribute to the Descendants star, including his co-star China Anne McClain. Just weeks after showing off her close fade, she shared a super emotional tribute to her friend on social media:

The YBF actress has been pushing through since she lost her friend two weeks ago and putting on a front to get by, but his death is taking a toll on her.

The "Black Lightning" star stepped out for Entertainment Weekly's Comic-Con Bash at Float at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego over the weekend. And she looked sad in several flicks from the event. Afterwards, she shared with her fans that she's going to take a social media break because it's just all too much for her right now.

"Thank you #SDCC :) I sort of had to pretend like everything these past 2 weeks never happened to get through this promotion, so i’m going on another little break from social media to try and get my head right," she wrote on her Instagram. "Y’all be safe out here, i’ll be back soon. <3"

Her co-stars offered up their support in the comments.

Prayers up for China as she grieves the lost of her good friend.

At the event...

She snapped it up with her "Black Lightning" co-stars Jordan Calloway, Christine Adams, and Marvin 'Krondon' Jones III, along with Dear White People star Malcolm Barrett.

Fans were quick to notice the "House of Payne" star shaved her tresses and she revealed she did the big chop over a year ago:

It's cute.
