Lena Waithe didn't cop an EMMY award for nothing! "The Chi" creator has a new project in the works and it'll cater to the young, black and fabulous. Showtime just gave a pilot order for the half-hour comedy anthology series, “How to Make Love to a Black Woman (Who May Be Working Through Some Sh*t)." Chile, the title alone makes us want to watch.

Lena has teamed up with writer Casallina “Cathy” Kisakye for a comedy series described as a set of multi-part episodes centered on a “collection of characters in an authentic world, telling stories about connection and rejection that explore our most harrowing – and harrowingly comic – sexual secrets.” Def sounds like a show you plan a girls' night with your besties with snacks and wine.

The new project came about through Lena's first-look deal with Showtime, the same network as her popular series "The Chi." By the way, season 2 premieres this spring.

The EMMY winner will executive produce the series alongside Rishi Rajani, and Kisakye, who will write the pilot.

“Cathy’s script is haunting, funny, and extremely vulnerable – it’s the kind of script that doesn’t come around very often,” Lena told Deadline. “I’m honored that Cathy trusts me with such a special project. I can’t wait for the world to see it.”
