BOOK FAB: Will Smith Lends Support To Sister Souljah's LATEST NOVEL "A Deeper Love Inside"

Will Smith was spotted in Philadelphia recently where he lent a show of support to Sister Souljah and her latest novel. Find out more inside...

Philadelphia native Will Smith returned to his hometown recently and showed up at a book discussion for Sister Souljah's latest novel. We came to love her for her Coldest Winter Ever novel (which Jada Pinkett Smith was once in talks to turn into a movie). And now she's getting lent some star power to pish her latest work.

Posing for pictures with the author at Temple Performing Arts Centre, Will watched her discuss A Deeper Love Inside: The Porsche Santiaga Story. The book is a coming of age story about a girl who is a 'natural-born hustler.

As a member of Public Enemy, Sister Souljah was nationally criticized for controversial comments she made about the LA riots in the 1990s, but has since gone on to become a well-respected author and public speaker with The Coldest Winter Ever ranking high among her most popular works.

She thanked Will for his support saying, "WILL SMITH, much love to you for welcoming me to your city, taking good care of me, & standing by my side. I loved the conversation & people."

The book is available at book stores and online now.

And on the movie front, Will stars in After Earth with his son Jaden this summer but has announced that daughter Willow won't be starring in an Annie remake afterall.

Sister Souljah looks more like "Mama" Souljah. She looks so MATRONLY. There are too many plus-size women who look awesome (think Tamela Mann). There's no excuse for this.

Sista Souljah looks like she's been eating waaaaaaaay too much chicken & collard greens. However, I will co-sign buying/reading her book. Both Midnight and The Coldest Winter Ever were some good reads.

I won't be getting this till

I won't be getting this till I hear some reviews. It was always rumored that she used a ghost writer for Coldest Winter Ever. They fell out and that is why the follow up book was horrible. She actually tried writing it herself.

I'm still waiting on The Coldest Winter Ever movie. That book was fiyah! I never got around to reading Midnight. Maybe I will this weekend. I'll be sure to pick up her new book too. She's a helluva story teller.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm ordering the book as I type. She didn't do a great job on the Midnight book, but I've often wondered what would come of Porsche (Winter's little sister) with daddy locked up for life and mama cracked out. I can't wait until the book comes!
