Beyonce scored a touchdown on the February 2013 cover of GQ. See a sneak peek at the sexy cover inside...and why Blue Ivy's mama is proving she can still shut ish down with her post baby bod....

Curvalicious Bey is back in full effect. She posed for a sporty themed cover for "GQ" magazine's Febuary 2013 issue (we've updated with the official cover). While the cropped jersey top with some peek-a-boo action and leopard panties and body chain maintain GQ's racy standards, the "Countdown" singer still manages to keep some class with that sex appeal.

You can check out more of photographer Terry Richardson's shots for the mag when they drop January 15th. The February issue hits newsstands nationwide on Tuesday, January 22.

And as the 31-year-old hottie gears up for her anticipated 2013 PEPSI Super Bowl Halftime Show, her fans are stalking her social media sites for her every move and announcement.

By the way, if you ever wondered why Beyonce laid claim to the name "Baddie B" on Instagram, she credits the OMG Girlz for coining the phrase.

The group, known for their girl power teeny bop songs, posted a video where they listed seven reasons Bey is a "Baddie", and the diva sent them a handwritten note to say thanks that they posted to their Facebook page.

There's nothing wrong with being sexy of course, but Beyonce's statements about female empowerment seem contradicted by this GQ cover photo which represents that at the end of the day the women's body is to be oggled by the masses and her mind and talent can sit on the back burner. You know, I always have

You know, I always have trouble with the various viewpoints of feminism and female empowerment. And I've come to the conclusion that the determining factor isn't about what image you promote, it's about intentions. Either way we look at it, there is criticism. On one hand, "female empowerment" seems to be about denying one's sexuality or what makes them feel sexy like so many are accusing Beyonce' of doing here. You must be respected first by your talent, by your intelligence, and not your body. On the other hand, I think that also hurts women as well. That women have to fit these coquettish images, that their sexuality must be denied, that they are not allowed to show their bodies is also a thought enforced by a patriarchal society. That men get to decide which terms we judge ourselves on, that you've embraced it as well, is only another nuance of a very colluded subject (:. I don't like Beyoncé at all, and my beef with her isn't that she shows her body. It's that she shows it while still trying to uphold the same flawed ideal that so many others maintain. Female empowerment is about building confidence and giving women the power to make their own rules and their own judgments.

You're probably right about the overexposed part. I think the same can be said for a few artists. I don't know if your numbers for her peers are correct, and I don't care enough to check. I'll just have to believe you. But most of the people you mentioned were selling albums as solo artist before the digital age. It's difficult to move units when everyone is downloading illegally. I'll give it to Adele, because I love her music (she's amazing). But she's in a different market. Her core demographic actually buys albums, not to mention her fanbase overseas in her home town. Just saying.
