Shawne Merriman, a star baller for the Buffalo Bills, is the latest athlete who has stripped down for PETA's "Ink Not Mink" campaign.
Putting his body art to work for a good cause, Mr. "Lights Out" wants fans to choose warm materials that spare animals pain and suffering.
PETA Senior Vice President Lisa Lange spoke of his involvement saying,
"Shawne Merriman is a tough opponent on the field, but it's as plain as the words on his chest that he has a heart of gold for animals. Football's a rough sport, but as PETA's undercover videos show, it has nothing on the violence of the fur industry."
