RUMOR CONTROL: Beyonce & Jay-Z HAVE NOT Lost "Blue Ivy" Trademark, Application Put On Hold

Contrary to media reports, Jay-Z and Beyonce have not lost the "Blue Ivy" trademark....their application is on hold. Get the deets inside.....

There's still a good chance that fans will someday have the option to choose from a slew of items bearing the "Blue Ivy" name (from skin care products and strollers to baby bedding) as Beyonce and Jay-Z's trademark application is still in the works.

Although Jay and Bey's application has been place on hold by U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (while the office awaits one merchant's appeal), the office granted "Blue Ivy" trademark rights to a Boston wedding planner last week.

But don't worry...should Jay and Bey's application be approved at a later date, they won't conflict with the wedding company and their products aren't in the same field.

We will keep you posted on their status....

I limit my comments on this site but I just had to say the amount of hate people have for this couple is ridiculous. If people spent half as much time doing something productive as they do hating on this couple imagine how many disease cures could be found or businesses started. I dont personally have an opinion on the trademarking of the name but I do understand it. They intend to sell products under this name. Everyone who does business trademarks their company name, products etc., so the fact that this is their child's name is just an additional detail. I really think people need to just get over this decision. Theyve already started the process and likely wont stop it just because some people on a blog/website disagree. How about people channel their energy into something much more meaningful. Hating does nothing but waste time and energy.
