Authorities Officially Rule Chris Lighty's Death A Suicide

Authorities in New York have officially ruled the death of music exec, Chris Lighty, a suicide....

We told you earlier about the body of Chris Lighty being found being found with a gunshot wound to the head, and now, officials have classified it a suicide.

Sources reports that Chris shot himself in the backyard of his home in the Bronx following an argument with his estranged wife, Veronica, about their divorce and the hefty debt he owed to the IRS.

50 Cent, a close friend of Chris, shared his thoughts saying:

“I am deeply saddened by the loss of my dear friend and business partner Chris Lighty.

Chris has been an important part of my business and personal growth for a decade. He was a good friend and advisor who helped me develop as an artist and businessman. My prayers are with his family. He will be greatly missed.”

Chris is credited with brokering 50's deal with Vitamin Water that eventually led to the rapper's $100M+ payday.

Watch the conspiracy theories

Watch the conspiracy theories come flying out saying he didn't kill himself. The reason black folk get wrapped in that is they incorrectly believe black folk do not commit suicide. The family embraces this thinking because some life insurance policies do not pay out in the case of suicides.

Ain't no pu$$y worth your

Ain't no pu$$y worth your life fellas!! It's hard to say exactly what was going through his head when he took his life but like someone said earlier, his children are the ones who will suffer the most! I bet his c--t of an ex wife is buying bottles at the club and thinking about all the sh*t she gonna buy when his remaining assets and money goes to their kids!! HOES smh!!!!

In addition to all that the

In addition to all that the police said that Chris' wife told them that he owed the IRS $5million as a reason as to why he might have committed suicide. Which points the finger anywhere but...........

Definitely more to this than

Definitely more to this than what most people are talking about for one thing his business partner Michael Williams or 'Blue' stated in an interview today, that Chris paid ALL BUT $330,000 back to the IRS and he was working on that prior to his passing. He also stated that Chris & Veronica would argue constantly..... basically everyday and that Chris kept a lot of things to himself. He also intimated that things at work could be stressful but that he was under tremendous stress regarding his home life.

I'm just sad that that

I'm just sad that that argument with that @#%√ may have been what pushed him over the edge. She was probably being nasty as hell to him and all in his ear with all that bullshit cause her (probable) greedy ass was bugging him for money to keep up her lifestyle and was probably too self absorbed to let this man have time to get himself together. I hope she can live with herself and that repeated last argument in her head. Bitch. These Black men always getting money and reaching for that White or foreign devil in a tight skirt while stepping over the Black woman. In the end, it usually plays out all the same...smh...

Well, we don't care age, it's just a number. I'm 33 years old, and I just fall in love with a great man who is 59 years old –a-g-e-l-o-v-e-s. C' 0m --, it's a cool place for single dating.

First of all get the story

First of all get the story right. Chris paid off his $5M debt to the IRS last year by selling his $5.6M condo. That was confirmed yesterday. What I want to know is what kind of relationship argument can make someone just pull out a gun and kill themselves? Me and my hubby have had a few battles but I would never expect him to blow his brains out. WTF was she stressing him about? I'm just mad he left his FIVE kids without a father. They are the ones that are really going to suffer the most. Prayers to them.

It's not always one thing.

It's not always one thing. Sometimes it's a culmination of things. Some ppl think about their family/kids and delay, but the thought can still remain. You just never know how much is too much for someone else and they feel that's the best way for them to go...

Super sad about Chris

Super sad about Chris passing. Thank you YBF for the update. My heart goes out to everyone in Chris life. I know 50 is crushed.

$100 M payday? Plus all of

$100 M payday? Plus all of 50's other money on the side, along with that of other wealthy artists and folk around him...and they couldn't have helped Chris out with that $5M debt and other expenses til he got his weight back up? Shame on all of you so-called industry friends and family. It's okay now, Chris, and I lift you and everyone else up who'd hurting right noe and chasing those tough demons even in our sleep. Rest well in your sunset until God raises you up again. XO

Who would have knowN he was

Who would have knowN he was broke if he did not tell anyone? Some people internalize their problems because of pride...not everyone broadcast their issues, and they especially keep quiet if they are financial issues...no one wants to be known as broke... My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends, this is a tragedy in itself...

You niggas crazy! It isn't

You niggas crazy! It isn't anybody job to take care of Chris Lighty financial mess but Chris Lighty. To blame his rich friends for not helping is like saying they killed him. This is what is wrong when someone dies even natural deaths. The living gets the blame. Imma say it again nobody is responsible for Chris Lighty but Chris Lighty. Black folk need to stop that blame and handout mentality.

It's sad to see people take

It's sad to see people take their own lives over financial issues (or any other issue), especially when they are so well connected in an industry that generates billions of dollars. People have their personal struggles and battle their own demons. But when I see tweets from wealthy men such as 50 who claim to be dear friends with the person, I wonder if they reach out to the person. Ya know? Not saying 50 or any other person didn't, I just wonder. Its no person's responsibility to care for another. I just know if my dear friend is struggling financially and that person has indeed helped in my career, I will definitely be there for them...IJS.

I feel the same way. It's so

I feel the same way. It's so insulting to see industry folk like 50, Floyd Mayweather, Weezy, Birdman, Jay Z, Puffy and Rick Ross flaunt and throw away millions of dollars on basic BULLSHIT when they could be HELPING folk like Chris...buy then when they die, they wanna send out these sorry ass tweets and half heartfelt statements. Fuck them muthafuckers!

How is one to know if the

How is one to know if the other person is in trouble if that person don't reach out to others? Are these celebs mind readers? Chris had a high level clientele. Why was he in financial trouble? Why didn't he had a secure accountant like the celebs you mentioned taking care of his money? Don't fault these celebs because of Chris' misfortune. Curtis Jackson was a good friend of Chris Lighty. But don't fault him because personal and imitate information was not shared with him regarding financial struggles.
