Nas is on a month long break from his Life Is Good tour. So he spent some time with his youngest kiddie, Knight, at his 3rd birthday this weekend.

With both his mom Kelis & dad Nasir on hand for is 3rd birthday party, baby Knight was in full on fun mode this weekend.

The exes played nice while throwing Knight a face painting, animal loving, cake eating b-day bash. And here's video to prove it:

I don't think anyone is proclaiming to know what type of father Nas is, well at least I'm not. The photograph simply sparked the conversation. I have no idea what Nas does or doesn't do as a father and it's not my place to know...my comments were meant to be taken in general terms.

Ummm LisaRaye's comment is not entirely without merit. There is a segment of the child psychiatric community that suggest that it is more difficult for a child to handle a parent that is inconsistent (in and out) rather than one that has chosen to be completely absent. Obviously picking the better of two evils is never really a win and it's always best if both parents decide to be 100% there for the child....but the idea that a "sometime parent" is better than no parent may not always be the best policy if that parent is being reckless with the child's feelings. I guess it really comes down to assessing the child to see how he/she is being affected and both parents trying to keep communication. gifts and visits as consistent and positive as possible.
