TYLER PERRY: "I HAD To Defend Casting Kim Kardashian!"

TheYBF.com caught up with Tyler Perry at his New York premiere for the upcoming Madea's Witness Protection flick. And surprisingly, Mr. Perry had much to say about the co-star of another of his upcoming movies, Kim Kardashian.

Director and actor Tyler Perry, pictured above at the Tyler Perry's Madea's Witness Protection New York premiere at AMC Lincoln Square Theater, was every bit the confident head honcho when grilled by swarms of media about his castings of both Bobbi Kristina Brown & Kim Kardashian in his respective upcoming projects, "For Better Or Worse" and The Marriage Counselor.

"I didn’t have to defend Bobbi [Kristina], I had to defend Kim," Tyler revealed to TheYBF.com at last night's premiere.

He continued:

"There was so much going on in [Kim's] marriage at the time, but all that stuff is the past. The movie is called The Marriage Counselor so, of course, there was some stuff to say about that."

And if you think Kim's acting skills (on an actual movie set that is) aren't quite sharp enough, Tyler has a different opinion:

"You know, I think she did a great job. I don't think it could of been a better time for her because she was going through so much at the time. She did a fantastic job in the movie and I’m very excited about it.”

Oh. And as for his thoughts about Kim becoming the latest chick on Kanye's throne:

"Oh, they’re dating? Hey, well, life is short. I believe you should live your life. You only have one to live.”

That's one way to look at it.

The multi-talented Mr. Perry also clapped back at the critics of Bobbi Kristina's skills as he predicts she'll have an incredible career:

"As far as Bobbi Kristina goes, I didn't have to defend her casting. The whole purpose of that was to make sure she was around people who care and love her. What I found when my mother died is that you need to be around people that you trust, and I was glad that I was able to do that for Bobbi.

That kid did a great job! She’s so talented and such an actor. I’m so proud of her. I’m telling you now, as far as she wants to go in the business she can.”

You do know that that church

You do know that that church was founded by her mother, Kris; right? When did she speak about it years ago? And if she did, it wasn't very often. The minute she started receiving backlash about the marriage, photos of her leaving church began popping up. Why all of a sudden then? We know these celebrities call the paps to come where there are and take pics. I can't speak for everyone else, but I know the reason she irks my nerves is not because of her sex tape. It's because of the constant lying and deceiving her and her mother do. All of Hollywood lies and deceives, but her and her mother's antics are overboard.

I work a 9-5 job and don't have the money Kim K. does, but I make almost (and will be there by next year) a SIX-FIGURE income for work I can be proud of. LOL!! Kim K continues to win and the haters continue to hate, that is life. Like Tyler said we only have one life and we all need to live it. Worry about your own lives, this girl is living her dreams, if her eyes closed today or tommorrow, she would have lived, loved, traveled, and fulfilled many of her dreams. Can you say the same? Boycotting the movie will do nothing, she will bring her fans with her, a new audience possibly to the movie, for every 1 of you that choose not to support it, she has at least 10 supporters that will support it. The reason why the Kardashians continue to grow and prosper is because their fan base goes out and actually support what thely do, they purchase their products, they attend their events, unlike some of you folks, you claim to stan for people like Rihanna and Ciara and Beyonce, yet when they drop an album you don't even support them, they can't even make it to number 1 yet they have millions of followers. You people just don't get it, the people that don't support them will never support them, but the ones that do are loyal and they will continue to suppor them and there is absolutely nothing that you can do about it, so sitting on the sidelines and b*tching and moaning about it is not hurting them, use your time wisely and figure out how to get yours and how to live your live sto the fullest, for God sake. That said, I will be supporting Tyler and Kim both because I have an appreciation for both.

All of his stuff is garbage, with or without the sex tape girl. It is hard to take him seriously when when he writes and directs most of the crap he puts out. Perhaps if he realized his limitations and actually hired a team to put out a quality product there wouldnt be so much backlash and maybe some of his movies would actually be good. I am sick of seeing dressed as a woman but there is something about him that makes it more irratating than when adam sandler or martin lawrence does it..IDK...maybe because he acts like he is so "down for the cause" yet his movies seem to be filled with disdan for some of the aspects of the Black community. You need to stop taking every idiotic thing that you read in the tabloids and believing it, first of all Kim K grew up around fame and money, an abundance of it, her god parents are famous, their parents best friends were famous, they went to school with famous people including some of the Jackson Klan, you cannot get more famous than that, Kim hung out with Paris but the Papparazzi are the ones that started calling out to Kim instead of paris because of her looks, this was pre sext tape, Kim was already a stylist and owned her own store prior to the sex tape coming out and she was already being noticed by the paparazzi, so stop the whole sex tap crap. Pam Anderson had a sex tape I don't see her building a conglomerate, there are many stars that had sex tape but it did nothing for them. Kim made a tape with her then boyfriend, bad mistake yes, because he was a rat and he released it, the bottom line is that they could not stop it and it was going to get released anyway, so why not make sure that the fools that bought it paid her, it was the equivalent of suing them for releasing it in the first place. Kim does not need to be a gold digger, she always had her own money, her dad was rich, her step dad was rich, so the gold digging crap is crazy. Tyler perry makes funny movies, every movie will not be a serious oscar contender movie, sometimes people just want to laugh, his moves ALL have a message somewhere in it, now if you are closed minded maybe you miss it but that's your problem not his. Take a step back and look at people like Tyler and Oprah and even Kim K they are successful for a reason and it is not why you think, but I doubt that someone with your mentallity will ever get it, and lets be very clear their are logical, non hating people that like Kim K and her family and I happen to be one of them, I do not get paid to blog on their behalf, I don't know them personally but when you read the trash that some of you people right you feel compelled to post. I can't say that I won't see

I can't say that I won't see his films because of his casting choices because I have never seen Perry film in the theater (have seen them on DVD or TV). I certainly never would now. Black women just love this man and I don't know why. He does an awful job of depicting us on screen. To have made so many movies, he's done a terrible job of showing our diversity and complexity and continues to show us as a single stereotype, reusing the same meme over and over. For the life of me, I can't understand why sistas like his movies, but I guess he reaches a very particular demographic and his redundancy appeals to them. Also, he casts names not talent and folks can have both.
