Erica Reid, the wife of music industry legend & "X-Factor" judge L.A. Reid, celebrated the release of her new book The Thriving Child with a few of her friends like Beyonce, Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige. See the pics inside....

It pays to have rich and successful friends who co-sign your new projects.

A fresh faced Beyonce showed up for friend Erica Reid's book signing recently wearing the vintage style blue Roland Muret "Galaxy" dress from the Fall 2005 collection as Erica promoted her new book, The Thriving Child: Parenting Successfully through Allergies, Asthma and Other Common Challenges.

And was spotted snapping some cute touchy feely pics with her hubby.

Posing with Mary, Miss Tina and Bey (in Louboutin Duvette pumps), Erica, the mother of 11-year-old daughter Arianna and eight-year-old son Addison said in a recent interview "I love my children, I am very sweet to them but I'm also very firm with them, and they don't get their way with every single thing."

Great advice Erica! And loving the dress.

I'm glad Beyonce is fresh

I'm glad Beyonce is fresh faced, sort of, without a bunch of makeup, and it also show the reality of mommyhood has hit her--she is dag gone tired and she needs to rest. My opinion--> she should forget about her little stint tours and just relax with her baby and enjoy her little dribble times.. they won't last forever.

A great event. However so many Black authors don't have famous friends to co-sign on their books. I wish that these people who attended this event and other book signing for their famous "friends" would seek out other authors to help them get a leg up. Publishers would trip over themselves to send a copy of an authors book to them. Learn to pay it forward stars! Someone opened a door for you, you can at lease open a window.

Beyonce doesn't look well mentally n her mother is there for emotional support and damage control if she flips out. Anybody ever thought bey may not have been able to carry her baby n needed a surrogate because of the meds she needs to control her mental issues. This woman has big shoes to fill to stay on top of her game. With a controlling husband who's pimping her in the industry she can't rest n raise blue. I like bey but I feel sad for her. Prayers going up for her. Thank God she does have her mother probably only one she can trust in this business.

I do agree. I love beyonce as well but it is sad. She was pimped out by her father and was handed down to Jay Z. She is a beautiful woman and she truelly does not look happy and she needs to be. I dont know if the rumors were true about her having an STD bc of JayZ were true but that man does give Rihanna more attention than his own wife and poor beyonce is making songs about her love for him. Every one looks fab. I would hope that Tina Knowles is now living in her own place and not with Jay/Bey. I heard that she was staying with them when Blue was boprn to help out. Now that Blue is 4 months she needs to be in her own place so the Carters can have a life and learn how to have one with their daughter. Yes Tina seems to be with Beyonce 24/7 but damm Bey is now a grown adult with her own child, allow her to be that Tina.
