Ummm...wow!!! Some of these comments are crazy!!! With all the negative talk about black women, I have to defend my mother. She's a black director at our Metropolitan Housing. She worked her way up from being the secretary. She worked extremely hard and has a phenomenal work ethic. She and my father raised 4 well-rounded daughters. She's an excellent wife, wonderful mother and extremely loving grandmother. She's intelligent and down to earth. She taught us good grammar and how to "NOT" exemplify the black stereotypical woman. She's definitely a cut above the rest and deserves to be honored. I can't talk about other black women, but the one that raised me is amazing and I will DIE defending her!!

Some black women are alright

Some black women are alright , some are not. Some white women are good too, some are not...so it is with every colour. Stereotyping is ignorant, period. Some of you, need to spend less time on this blog and get yourself an education. You need to spell correctly, know the difference between there, their and they. Goodness me, can't we all just get along? I'm a black woman, professional and raising a son, I'm only human. Sometimes I will get it right, other times not. Just like any other woman. As long as we use our full potential and do our best. God be with us all. Black woman, married to a black man, for 8 years, and raising a well mannered, respectful young black man. Peace!
