TV FAB: Kelly Rowland QUITS "X-Factor" + John Legend SIGNS ON For ABC's "Duets"

R&B starlet Kelly Rowland won't be returning to the UK's version of "X Factor" next year. Get the deets inside and also find out about John Legend replacing Lionel Richie on "Duets."

Kelly Rowland has made it official that she will not return as a judge on the U.K. version of The "X Factor" this summer. A spokesperson for the BBC said,

"Kelly has not been able to agree a deal that fits into her autumn/winter schedule, so sadly cannot accept a place on the 2012 panel."

But the word on the street is that Kelly didn't get offered the type of money she wanted. Sigh......

In other music news....

John Legend has been added the the cast of ABC's "Duets." The singer, who is replacing Lionel Richie, joins Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Nettles and Robin Thicke on the upcoming summer series.

Hmmm....it could be good to see John and Robin do a few duets throughout the course of the show.

Kelly is a hopeless cause. I bought both albums WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! No matter how hard you try w/ this girl she always seems to FAIL. First w/ the show trying to be like Project Runway and now the Ex-Factor she just can't get it right no matter what! Even w/ the bad hair styles and all I always wanted her to succeed but I guess you have to want to succeed bad enough for yourself. I don't know what to say about this girl. Even w/ Matthew Knowles gone she still can't WIN!

Kelly didn't quit, she was fired and replaced with a previous judge who is also Simon Cowell's ex girlfriend. During most of Kelly's stint it was clear she wasn't really connecting with the audience, it was a no-brainer she wasn't coming back. And her trip to the US when she had to stay because she got 'flu' apparently sealed the deal to not inviting her back. Sorry, but she didn't have a choice in 'not coming back', they didn't want her and no-one here is losing any sleep over it.

Because of that, she only had one hit off that album. She needs to focus on her career before the steam dies back down.
