The BOYCOTT Of Evelyn Lozada & The "Basketball Wives" Is ON!

Folks are absolutely fed up with the utter foolywangery that is VH1's "Basketball Wives." It only took 4 seasons for that to happen. Yet and still, a petition has popped up to boycott cast member Evelyn Lozada's new spinoff show....and Star Jones is gathering up support of powerful women to get the show and its often embarrassing antics stopped.

Evelyn and her assistant Nia Crooks ganging up on co-star Jennifer Williams this season seems to have been the straw that broke the slaphappy camel's back. Because folks are more up in arms than ever at the antics of the grown women on this show. From jumping on tables just to get a lick in on another female to throwing glass in the face of another to may-jah curse-your-ass-out arguments, it's a lot going on "Basketball Wives" these days.

An excerpt from an online petition that is now circulating (check it out in full HERE) reads:

“Evelyn Lozada is a bully. The violence on ‘Basketball Wives’ is horrible and disgraceful. This is not a hate petition against Eveyln Lozada. We simply will not support violence. It hurts to see violence amongst women on television for entertainment purposes. It is not OK for women to hit each other on TV.

Just about every altercation and argument on the show has involved Evelyn in some way, shape or form. From the yelling match on the season 4 premier against her former bestie, Jen, to the table climbing and hair pulling in the last couple of episodes, the woman has a problem for reals."

Ha! The petition also asks viewers to call and write Viacom in order to stop the release of "Ev & Ocho," Evelyn's spinoff show with fiance Chad OchoCinco.

Meanwhile, former "The View" co-host Star Jones went on a twitter rant reading these chicks. Which we assume would include her ex-hubby, Al Reynolds, who appeared on several episodes as the girls' bestie. *eyebrow raised*

She popped off this week saying:

“It may be ‘comfortable’ to be quiet when women of color slap the crap out of each other & run across tables barefoot, but #ENOUGHisENOUGH."

“About to put together a group of sisters to finally ‘tell the truth’ about the image of women of color in the media.”

She continued:

"And the thought that the woman from #BBW who was smacked doesn't have the RIGHT to file assault charges is LUDICROUS! You NEVER give up your right not to have your ‘person’ intentionally assaulted unless you are participating in an agreed physical activity.

…little black girls deserve more than what we're giving! It sickens me @lov3lylina85 when young sis think that behavior is acceptable. U can't get a REAL JOB acting like an animal."

So what is it? If you like the character then its nothing? And bad girls club this season they jumped 4 different people and those people didn't go home. Their more lenient now for RATUINGS! The victims went home.

Star is not jealous of her ex husband Al's relationship with Jen, because Al is gay! Evelyn is the realest woman on the damn show, but Evelyn should get rid of Chad and stop letting fake people like Tammy and Jen pull out her temper. I'm going to disagree with you on this. If Star is upset with anyone it'll be Jenn since Al is Jenny's bff. Secondly, A REAL LADY SHOULD BE EXTREMELY DISCREET with who she's sleeping with. Ev BOASTING/BRAGGING about the number of ATHLETES she's slept with DOESN'T make her REAL. ACTUALLY, it makes her look like a loose, whorish, gold digging groupie tramp! My opinion is Ev throws bottles and blows when someone is very near to break it up. She preys on those who she's deemed as inferior. Why didn't she throw bottles when Tami wanted to tap her butt? I wont call for a boycott for the Ev and Chad show. But I am totally dissappointed in the way BBW has gone. The violence makes me cringed. I have been tweeting my own take on it. It is sad. I hope they can change it around by doing things that are constructive when the camera is on them.

I agree the show is barbaric, but my ? is why is it that Ms. Star Jones did not, as a woman, assemble a group of women to ban Jersey Shore, Flavor of Love, and all the other bs shows that created the platform for what reality tv is today and the progressive degradation of women? If this show didn't have the label of being a reality tv show, people would still watch it. You have a choice as parents to block channels you don't want your kids to watch and you have a choice as individuals what you choose to watch. I'm not saying not to protest changing the concept of the show and thus forcing producers to show more of the positive things the women do in the community... All I'm saying is think before you sign what exactly you're signing. Canceling the show won't change anything, but changing the concept will. Like it or not, and not based on their show, these women are role models to some. If the producers and editors of the show can show these women in all aspects of their lives: motherhood, businesswoman, spokesperson, advocate, girlfriend, etc. and still simply touch base on the drama (without all the violence) these women would have a bigger audience and would portray reality tv realistically... just my opinion

Well that's exactly why they're calling for a boycott of Eve and Ocho's new show. Evelyn was rewarded for being the loudest, meanest, tackiest of the group with her own show. Boycotting that show will send a message that we as women (black) do not want to be portrayed in that manner anymore. That we do NOT think that bullying, fighting, throwing bottles, jumping on tables is a respectable way to conduct yourself. Hopefully that will start to change the direction of these shows. There are so many issues that women go through every day that I'd be interested in watching... I think people are just tired of the ghetto antics.

It has become abundantly

It has become abundantly clear, that women on BBW, have become the "Middle Aged" version of the "Bad Girls Club". This franchise has finally sank to a new low. A group of beautiful, smart women, who have obtained substantial financial gain that conduct themselves, as Teen aged high school Kids. The show has taken the perception of Black and people of colour, (in this case Women), back to the "Amos and Andy" era! A time, whereby, talented Black folks, had to act like non intelligent clowns, in order to be seen in mainstream media. The BBW women, also confirm, the perception and misconception of People colour, given money and status, will still act like Fools and Animals. In White America's minds, we have failed, their litmus test. Which is, even if you give us money, pretty us up and dress us up in expensive clothing, we are still willing to be Bafoons and Clowns (for them), for a pay check!! Sadly enough to say that, BBW's is NOT the Paradigm of Black, educated, successful, hard working Women today. However, with shows of this nature, we will continue to be perceived, as such, (low class).

Reality television is making women all of races look like "Fools and Animals" in order to receive a paycheck. Yes, it hurts me to know that black women in particular have joined the forces but, have you watched Mob Wives, Housewives of OC, Baseball wives and whichever other wife they have on television? It is a true disgrace to all women. I sit and shake my head on many of nights. My husband ask me, "why do you watch this crap?" My response is always, "to learn what not to do and because people are constantly stereotyping the average black woman but from what I am witnessing women of all races act the same" as you say like a bunch of "Fools and Animals".

I think that Evelyn is a hypocrite.....when susie told about what she in vegas she wouldn't speak to her, when tammi was about to kick her ass she got all quiet. She forgave susie, and tammi. It seemed kind of odd that when Jen did that interview and said something about that little boy she got mad......Jen being the person she is went and apologize to her she in return with her fake ass hugged the girl and accepted the apology. So now with this new season i couldn't believe it when i see that she is at war with Jen the way she is carrying on if she forgive Tammi and Susie why the heck she cant do the same? Jen i respect what you are doing by not stooping to her level, she is more childish than my 2yr old nephew just continue to focus on your business......They are all A NON @#$$$% F%^#$* FACTOR!!!!!

Simply put...Evelyn Lozado is CLASSLESS!! Shaunie clearly is not a leader! Neither will she stand up for what's right. Now it's very plain to see why she and Tammie Roman (a.k.a/.Ghetto Mess) are friends! Evelyn seems to think that everyone has to get her stamp of approval to be considered relevant. Real ladies stand up for what they believe and dont care if you accept them or not! Who cares about Evelyn's opinion?!?! She's a NON-FACTOR...with low self-esteem!!! She clearly demonstrated that when her FIANCE (someone that should adore you) asked her about bringing another woman home and into their bed and the Dummy embarassed ALL women by saying , "Well what if I dont like her?" You dumb, sick-minded individual!!! That response almost set women back a hundred years! We've worked too hard to gain respect in this country and garbage like this is the only way we can be shown???
