Jennifer Williams Readies PRESS CONFERENCE To Announce Lawsuit Against Nia Crooks For SLAPPING HER UP On "Basketball Wives'

This ish just gets more trifling. After Jennifer Williams suffered a big slap to the face--literally--by Evelyn Lozada's good friend/assistant Nia Crooks on a recent episode of "Basketball Wives," Jen kept to her word and filed a lawsuit.

Now she's having a press conference in New York tomorrow to discuss the criminal & civil court filings. Deets inside...

On a recent episode of "Basketball Wives," Evelyn's assistant and friend, Nia Crooks, offered up a huge slap to Jen's face during a heated argument while the ladies were on a trip to the horse races. So huge that Jen is filing a few lawsuits against her citing assault and battery.

Lucid Cosmetics owner Jen said previously, after this slap was seen months ago on a super trailer for this season of "Basketball Wives," that she would be taking legal action against Nia R. Crooks. And based on the press release from her attorneys we just received, she's keeping that promise.

Thursday (4/19) at 11am, at the law office of Rubenstein & Rynecki in Brooklyn, Jen & her civil attorney Sanford Rubenstein Esq will address the civil lawsuit filed in Supreme Court New York County. Her criminal attorney, Sabrina Puglisi, will address the status of the criminal complaint filed by Jennifer in the state of Florida.

Jennifer's attorney, Sanford Rubenstein, stated about the suit which will be filed both civilly and criminally:

"This civil complaint is being filed by Jennifer Williams to hold Nia Crooks accountable civilly for the assault and battery which took place on the episode of Basketball Wives which aired the evening of April 16th 2012. A criminal complaint filed by Jennifer Williams is presently under investigation by the office of the States Attorney in Florida".

Assault and battery of any kind is wrong and the lawsuits are indeed warranted. But do we need a whole press conference about the filings though? I mean, really.

Tami in trying to reach you and not hurt you, to some physical abuse is just like sexual abuse. You know how you feel about that. Well others feel the same about physical abuse. No one has a right to violate anyone's rights or put their hands on another person for any reason. If you think it's ok to abuse someone physically you must think it's ok to abuse them sexually. No means no whether it hitting or sexual. Maybe thinking about it in those terms will rattle something in your brain to realize it's not ok to do either. Just because you like to fight, and bully and challenge people for not saying things the way you think they should is no reason to touch them.

This is in no way Jens fault on any level!!!! She went to a dinner and did not even know Nia was going to be there BUT Shaunie did!!!! Jennifer did not provoke, encourage or in anyway deserve to be slapped across her face by that bum ass chick!!!! Bullying is a major topic in the headlines and this show is so sad because it clearly shows that grown ass women that are supposed to be business women and mothers are acting like common hood rats!!! THAT'S RIGHT JEN SUE HER ASS--the show is terrible, old ass women fighting each other. Wasn't Tammy sued too? She hasn't taken a swing at anyone this season yet. I think all of them are jealous of Jen. Jen is not a fighter, and that's ok. Evelyn and Tammy act they were raised by a pack of wild ass wolves. I really think Evelyn was friends with Jen because she was trying to learn how to be a lady. The friendship fell apart when Evelyn slept with Chad on the first date and Jen disapproved. And what was funny was Evelyn had the nerve to think someone would come into her shop and pay $1,000 for a pair of shoes like she's so damn classy. I think the Payless brand is more her type. On a serious note, the whole scene was a set up, hence, everyone was served papers by Jenn because she knows how they get down. So, Shaunie, Tami and Evelyn trifling ass brought stupid ass Nia along because she wasn't served papers. They brought Nia so she can do their dirty work. They wanted drama well they got it. Hopefully, with the lawsuit, it will cancel the show. I hope she sues everyone/everything related to this train wreck of a show. How many times can Shaunie act surprise on her show?
