Nicki Minaj Gets Cotton Candy Pink For April 2012 ALLURE Cover, Talks Dethroning Jay-Z & Working On Her Fitness

Nicki Minaj put on her best cotton candy-like pink wig for the April 2012 cover of ALLURE. The 29-year-old rap chick donned colorful looks for the spread, and had some words for rap king Jay-Z. Check out her cover and a few pics and highlights inside...

"Superbass" rapper Nicki Minaj is decked out in her frills, ruffles and tulle for the new ALLURE issue. The cover has been floating arond for weeks in a blurry low-res format, but now the higher quality pic has been released.

The MAC Viva Glam rep revealed her usual amount of boobage and her fave pink lipstick while yacking it up about keeping off the pounds and going for Jay-Z's spot:

On dethroning Jay-Z: “I never thought about music as just being the end-all, be-all. I always looked at it like a business, something that I could create an empire out of…. I had a little conversation with Jay-Z at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. He said, ‘Congratulations on all your success.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m coming for you. I’m coming for your spot, Mr. Mogul.’”

On exercising: “I’m naturally petite, but I definitely struggle with keeping those extra pounds off. And I hate working out. I can’t stand being on a treadmill. That mentally irks me. When I need to lose a few, I just cut out sugar and starch.”

Using sex appeal and all the costumes in the world wouldn't get you to where Jay is now. Raw talent and business savvy does! The problme with using sex appeal and all the crazy costumes as apart of your personal as an artist is that people get tired of that fast. Being sexy and shocking has an epiration date. Maddona is successful at it because, she is actually a great entertainer who keeps reinventing herself time and time again. She obviously knew when to drop the sex thing and the craziness. But Nicki Minaj what excatly do you jhave to ooffer that Lil Kim and Foxy BRown Couldn't offer? Look at where they are now! Only one female rapper has lasted this long-Quenn Latifah and she is currently foing jazz-go figure!

Nicki has done many things KIM has never done. For example....Nicki has close to 7.5 million followers, is dead serious. After all, it's the same devoted followers who she proudly nicknamed "Barbies" that have propelled the provocative star to glorious heights. Billboard has also taken notice, naming Minaj its Rising Star of 2011. Minaj was set to receive the award at Billboard's Women in Music event on Dec. 2 in New York, joining Woman of the Year recipient Taylor Swift. Kim NEVER did any of this. And Kim was NEVER on the COVER of W or Allure or Glamour. Get it RIGHT! Nicki is bereaking RECORDS and that was why Kim was JEALOUS and tried to pick a fight. Bad thing for Kim is Nicki KILLED her on Roman's revenge with Em. SO back UP! #barbie4life

Again you are comparing someone at the height of their career to someone whose is career is nearing retirement and is simply putting music out for her fans smh FYI - twitter did not exist at the height of kim's career, majority of kims fans are older and aren't on twitter so that doesn't even make sense. Dead @ 7.5 followers but only 1.7 albums sales to date smh #whatwentwrong. Neither Kim nor Nicki have any "real" billboard awards...so...and I feel bad that you actually believe Nicki covered glamour mag smh #delusionsofgrandeur but neway Kim was on covers that nicki hasn't been on (Kontrol, Oneworld, Nylon, etc.)..Nicki has covered mags that Kim hasn't. There have been mags that both have covered (Out, Vibe, King, etc.) both have accomplishments so don't nitpick and downgrade to make it seem like Nicki is doing something no one has ever done before. Aside from like Kim many other female rappers have "actually" accomplished things like landing their own sitcom (Queen Latifa, Eve), singing the the national anthem live (Queen Latifa), clothing, make-up & perfume lines (Eve, Queen latifa, Trina, & prob more), sneaker lines (missy), winning grammies (lauryn hill, Eve, Missy & prob more). Nicki still has a long way to go in her career. You stans need a large slice of humble pie..

And a lot can be said in reverse at the height of Lil kim Trina foxy eve and Others digital was not as big as it is today. Itunes internet and piracy was not as high. So for Nicki to be as successful relevent and higly praised by most if not all of her peers is amazing, Yes she has 10 million follwers that doesnt mean anything, but if 1 follower gets her album leaked and spreads it world wide it does, so that is what she is fighting for. you cant knock nicki for having ambition and wanting to be as great as men in the rap game like Jay-z and Diddy. Ps she does have billboards rising star award that she won at the women in music show.
