Oprah Nabs First Interview With Bobbi Kristina & Whitney Houston's Family

Oprah's pulling out all the stops for her OWN network. She just landed the first Houston family interview since Whitney Houston's death with Bobbi Kristina, who turns 19 on Sunday, and other members of Whitney's family.

"Oprah's Next Chapter" will now welcome Whitney's daughter Bobbi Kristina, Whitney's sister-in-law and manager Patricia Houston and Whitney's brother Gary Houston, for an intimate interview.

Set to air March 11th, Bobbi Kris discusses personal memories of her mom and how she would like the iconic superstar to be remembered. The family also addresses the rumors and speculation surrounding Houston's death.

In her new primetime series, "Oprah's Next Chapter," O focuses on stepping outside of the studio for enlightening and in-depth conversations with newsmakers, celebrities, and real-life families.

The episode with Bobbi Kris and fam will air March 11th at 9p EST on OWN. I'll be glued to the TV. Will you?

I'm sadden but this issue but

I'm sadden but this issue but if it needs to be done it should be Bobbi Kristina. Further am I the only one disappointed that Bobby Brown bought his sister to Whitneys' wake after she wrote that book and exposed Whitneys' habits. My moma always said "what goes on in my house stays in my house". Who really used their cell phone camera and took the picture of Whitney in the casket. Who dislikes, smears and exposes this woman on her journey home? After this interview let her rest, just as we did Michael, Heath Ledger, Etta James and etc. Rest in peace my love and my prays continue to be with her daughter and her mother. Mothers don't want to out live their children.

If Bobbi K doesn't do the interview now, pretty soon no one will care. It will be old news. If she is ready to handle the interview, then who are we to say when it's too soon. So I guess many of you would prefer Bobby show up on one of those networks who simply felt it was best to follow the tabloid's assumpt of Whitney's last days simply because they it was what folks wanted to hear and they wanted to make money. Funny how some of you don't seem to have a problem with the predominately white media make money off of rumours and innuendos about our Icons die but you have a problem when Oprah do things the right way and let the family tell their story. We don't know who contact whom first. For all was know Bobbie K and the Houston family could have gotten enough of the so call talk about Whitney and Bobbie that they contact her. It could be that Oprah contacted for the interview, however unless they wanted to do it the interview wouldn't have been done. I only wish Bobbie the best and whatever positive way she need to get thru this I pray she does. For those who are stating it's too soon must realize this young woman needs to talk and seems like whomever she speak with always share it with the public. Bobbi Kristina is the only one who has the right to decide when she should speak on her mom. Other people who barely knew her mom are all up on cnn msnbc et insider talking and barely knew her mom. Not so; Oprah gave Whitney an outstanding interview back in 2010 when Whitney was getting back. And it was a well put part 1 and part 2 interview. So maybe Bk wants the world to know the truth about her moother last days. I know Ms. Oprah will do a great job. I want to see this interview because I really loved Whitney Houston as a singer and a person! You never heard her talk about anyone or gossip. The only thing she wanted is for us to Love her and her music. If you really stop and think no one sound like her and no One will ever sing like her. Beacuse of the love she had for her fans and family. Do not cast any stone on her about her drugs, just remember her how she gave us lost of beautiful music and her beautiful personna she was. I think it is way too soon, they would not get me to do the interview til like years and years down the line if I was Bobbi she should have said NO!!! because noone really cares about her and her well being the only person that did is now gone,every1 is only looking to profit and that includes Oprah. And so the next time everyone is up in arms screaming at the Blogs to to leave Bobbi Kristina alone and let her grieve in private, just remember these people care more about being on television and being in the public eye than about their privacy, personal tragedies and peace of mind. I agree with the too soon comments. I know what it is like to lose a mother and you are not even fully processing all that has happened to be able to sit and share your feelings like that. I get that they trust Oprah and maybe it was even theraputic for them to sit and talk about Whitney and their memories etc..but why does it then in turn have to be televised? I'm so tired of the lack of dignity and respect we have for people's lives these days. I love Whitney and I pray alot for Bobbi Kris...and maybe 6 months..a year down the line I would feel better about this interview. This soon just comes off as capitalizing on somone's death. Don't even get me started about the book and movie rumors...grrrr...Blessings to her family though.

Like many of you have stated, I'm glad Oprah got the interview and not any of these other so-called journalists who have done nothing but trash Whitney's name since her death and speculated about her death. Oprah is a trusted member of the press for the Houston family and I'm sure she handled the interview with class. I'll definitely be tuned it. How sad that Bobbi Kris will have to celebrate her birthday on Sunday without her mother.
