$10 is not a wise price for Ashanti. She's a very pretty young woman with a great personality. But her marketing dots are misconnected. 100k is a lot of records to sell. These days you MUST have a HIT record on the radio for an Ashanti type. She does not have that. A music video teaser is not a strong effort either. As an independent artist control and a direct line to revenue is ideal, but you have to do it right and understand how to meet the goal of 100k. How many albums do you think she's going to ship to Target, Best Buy and Walmart? She'll ship no more than 20k, my guess. She'll sell no more than a third of that the first week.
