Tracee Ellis Ross And Vanessa Williams ANNOUNCE "The 43RD NAACP IMAGE AWARDS" NOMINEES

The nominees for THE 43RD NAACP IMAGE AWARDS were announced yesterday during a live press conference from the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, CA. Actors Vanessa Williams, Tracee Ellis Ross, Corey Reynolds and Craig Robinson did the honors of announcing the categories and nominees. The nominees for THE 43RD NAACP IMAGE AWARDS were announced yesterday during a live press conference from the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, CA. Vanessa Williams, Tracee Ellis Ross, Corey Reynolds and Craig Robinson announced the categories and nominees honoring the accomplishments of people of color in the fields of television, music, literature and film.

The winners will be announced during the two-hour star-studded event airing live on Friday, February 17 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on NBC.

ABC and CBS lead the nominees in the TV categories with 18 and 16 nominations respectively, followed by BET and HBO both with 15. BET landed two shows in the top comedy series category with "Reed Between The Lines" and "The Game." And "Tyler Perry's House Of Payne" also landed a nomination. On the acting front Malcolm-Jamal Warner - "Reed Between the Lines" competes with Pooch Hall - "The Game" (BET) and Terry Crews - "Are We There Yet?" (TBS) in the best comedy actor category while Tia Mowry-Hardrict - "The Game" (BET) goes against Tracee Ellis Ross - "Reed Between the Lines" (BET) and Vanessa Williams - "Desperate Housewives" (ABC) and Wendy Raquel Robinson - "The Game" (BET) for best actress.

Wendy Williams was nominated for outstanding talk show while "Tia And Tamera" got a nod for outstanding reality show.

In the recording category, Columbia Records leads with eight nominations, followed by Warner Bros. For top male artist honors, Common will compete against Cee Lo Green and Chris Brown while the top female artists category features Jill Scott, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige and Ledisi seeking the honors.

In movies, Dreamworks Pictures/Touchstone Pictures/Participant Media lead with eight nominations, while Focus Features and TriStar Pictures followed with seven, and Universal Pictures with five in the motion picture category.

The Help was nominated for Best Picture while Critics' Choice Award winners Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer got nominations for their roles.

I am so happy about this years nominations. Far better than last years. We are finally getting more nominations than just Tyler Perry productions. Its kind of sad when he is the only one proucing things with black people in it.

Beyonce leads with 4 nominations. Nice. She sold over 2.1 million copies of her latest album 4 without one major hit on the radio and even without a tour. 2.1 million copies...now thats true star power. Congrats to her. And disappointed to see Tyler Perry nominated.

Vanessa Williams is fab. I love her and she looks fit & attractive, but she is starting to age. I never understand why people think Tracee Ellis Ross is so fab. She's likeable most of the time--till she wears these Granny-Gums-outfits like she did here. The dress, the hair, the make-up, all WRONG and all scream 1950's Bible Study. Meanwhile the guys-Craig & Corey--are great actors and I love their work.

I think there is too much makeup on Vanessa's skin. Either way, she's a beautiful woman. I have to agree, Tracee looks aged. And not just aged, but AGED! I don't know what it is about her, but everytime I see her pics, she just has this missing factor that doesn't bring her to WOW. I would love to see her at an elegant affair with a beautiful fitted gown, nice neck piece, straightened hair, and kaboom! Dramatic and dark lashes. Just a more grown and sexy look. Her skin is beautiful, and she has a wonderful shape. But something about her just always seems off or......"MiSsing". Love her shoes here too! She is to YBF for this slacking. Esp with a mom like Diana. Not saying she needs to walk out her front door looking Rihanna-esque, but just, you know, lively it up a little. Her lipsticks are always on point though. I give her that!

Not sure which pics you're

Not sure which pics you're seeing, but Vanessa Williams looks old in the face (even with the work she's had done) and has horrible skin. I think Traci's dress ages her, but she has pretty skin, usually. Vanessa Williams hasn't aged well at all, and that's why she continues to get botox...she's headed for Jasmin Guy territory pretty soon.
