T-Boz Files For Bankruptcy Because Mack 10's A DEADBEAT DAD? + Bow Wow Owes $90K To The IRS

Former TLC member T-Boz has just filed for bankruptcy. And it's likely because deadbeat dad Mack 10 owes her $250,000 in child support for their daughter Chase.

Deets inside, plus what Bow Wow owes the IRS too....

In the messed up news of the day, Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins has filed for bankruptcy. She's suffered from a brain tumor and swine flu these last few years. And she has also lived with Sickle Cell disease for several years. So I'm sure the medical bills have been stacking up.

She owes her creditors $768,642.99 mostly from mortgages on her $1.2 million house. Remember back in 2008 when a home in her name was facing foreclosure, and she says her ex-husband and child's father, Mack 10, put it in her name ut it wasn't really hers? No word on if this is the same property in question.

Even after being in one of the most successful girl groups of all time, T-Boz only brings in $1200/month in royalties. And sources report her non excessive spending at $8,821 a month while bringing in $11,700/month in income.

But here's the kicker. TMZ reports she may not have been in this predicament had Mack 10 paid her the $250,000 he owes her in back child support. Deadbeat ass...

Meanwhile, Bow Wow owes some serious money to the IRS in back taxes. A Florida tax lien filed by the Feds says Shad owes $91,105.61 for unpaid taxes from the year 2006. Maybe his Cash Money homie Weezy can get that handled for him....

People, please don't be fooled by this story. T-Boz has either lost or had to short sale at least one home in the past. She used to spend tens of thousands of dollars per month, buying her daughter a $50k playhouse and spending a fortune on clothes for her. T-Boz knew she had sickle cell, so INSURANCE (medical & life) should've been her first priorities. If you're in almost $800k worth of debt, $250k isn't going to satisfy that debt. That is basic math. T-Boz married a bum and got pregnant by said bum before she got married. Mack 10 used to kick her ass. While he should be paying support for his daughter, child support is for the CHILD, not for the receiving parent to make a lifestyle out of. I'm in my 30s. My mother JUST started receiving regular child support arrears payments from my father. He is retired. I attended private school, university, had pretty much everything you can imagine growing up from toys, game, clothing, beautiful furrniture, home, etc. My mom did all of that, through hard work and God's grace, and she has a disease that will last the remainder of her life (Addison's). T-Boz landed herself in her situation. If she filed for BK because she couldn't afford to pay her treating doctors, I'd understand. Something isn't adding up here. Prayers for T-Boz's health and her ability to make SOUND decisions.

I'm a TLC fan and I really

I'm a TLC fan and I really like T-Boz, but I must say this. Long before filing bankruptcy, she had to have known she was not bringing in enough money to sustain her household. I will not speak about child support payments owed to her and her child, that's another issue by itself. I will say that T-Boz should have downsized to a more manageable level, one that is/was commensurate with the amount of money that she actually does bring in. The problem with most people in this country is that we get used to living a certain lifestyle and when circumstances change we don't want to do what needs to be done (like downsizing) until we can resume living a that upscale lifestyle again. IMAGE is what's killing America. Everyone wants to put on this "I've got it going on" face when their households are falling apart in actuality. If you can't afford cable for the time being, then get it turned off until you can. We need to learn the difference between luxuries and necessities. Cable (among many other things) Is NOT a necessity. Learn to "trim the fat" in your spending and maybe bankruptcy won't have to be an option for T-Boz or anyone else.

We all know that child support money is never guaranteed and you shouldn't count money that is not a sure thing meaning you didn't earn it yourself. It's a shame that these women

It's a shame that these women were so screwed over by the music industry. T-Boz should have a nice nest egg to live on now that she is older and not as healthy as she was in her younger days. You just have to scale back my dear and do the best you can to survive to be their for your daughter. I would suggest reading some books on manifestations and LOA. You may lack physical healthy, but you still have the power of your mind and faith, work with what you have to get to where you want to be. I wish you and your child well.

1st FYI ur born with Sickle Cell disease u suffer from it every day of ur life and as u get older it causes many health problems, I'm an product of the disease, divorced, single mom w/o child support with many health problems. I had to give up my home; point being "we need to live with in our needs"

Um, as a child of child-support I am confused about why child support is even being linked to her bankruptcy issue. My mother actually gave me some of my child-support to use to spend on weekend trips with friends (skating, movies, mall)-It was money we needed but we knew never to depend on it for survival. All our lifestyle bills for food and shelter were planned and paid for by her job salary. What sane women separated from a deadbeat man would ever think they should or could depend on child-support as part of their lifestyle financial budget. And who lets the back-pay reach $250,000 and just keep sitting and waiting with their hand out. After back-pay reached $5,000 maybe she should have saw that as a sign to find a job and get a smaller place. She better humble herself and stop looking for industry money and ask one of her nurses about phlebotomy or pharmacy tech certification. Shame on her for depending on child-support to support her and the mortgage.

I really feel for T Boz...especially since she's had health issues for so long. She should downsize even more. Maybe move into a small condo apartment or something...something still nice but cheaper than what's she living in now. I'm sure it's more expensive to maintain a large house in ATL. First and foremost people need to realize that MONEY and RAISING YOUR CHILD ARE NOT the same thing.....Even if she did get the money she is owed it does not mean that her child will be getting raised any better and doesn't necessarily mean that the child would even be getting all the material things they need as well. This would be the responsibility of the mother. Sad to say but YES Mack 10 probably owes you money but on the same note you are a grown woman and need to learn to fend for yourself. What if he was dead, what if he decided he would just rather do the time? It still doesn't leave you with money or anything that would save your house, livelihood, etc. How about when you saw you weren't pulling in that TLC bank anymore that you move to a smaller house, you prioritize and start to budget. Stars don't shine forever they burn out after awhile and she has BEEN at that point. At the end of it these people are no different from any of this. The face he owes her a measly 250,000 would not in the long run have saved anything...especially seeing as the money is meant for HER CHILD...not ALL her expenses. She needs to woMAN up and get her stuff together with the help of Mack or without.

IMO..........on the outside looking in......I think that maybe she is in this financial state because of her medical issues. Yes this is sad. But by the same token, I don't see why she has to live in a mansion that she clearly can't afford. Downsize to something that is more in your budget. Her clothing store didn't stay open longer than 15 minutes so that should have been a sign as well. Yes Mack 10 is legally responsible for assisting with the support of their daughter but damn lets keep it 100...........this man hasn't had a hit in how many years!! You can't get blood from a turnip. He is not the first man that has not paid cs and he wont be the last. If he does owe $250,000 in cs she might as well stand in line with the rest of the women in the world that are waiting on payment. Hope the new start works out better for her.

Yes, I said that child support is "EXTRA" meaning that it's not ever guaranteed, not that a father should be left off the hook for his obligations. Hell, you can't squeeze blood out of a turnip, and if he doesn't pay, he goes to jail, in which the mother still won't have the money. And let's not mention the games and other stuff that's played by deadbeats, so that means racked up time, money, and headache going to court every time something changes. The child support system is NOT set up soley for deadbeat parents. It's another money making tool for the government first and foremost. Even those that pay child support, have money deducted from the state for fees and other bullshit FIRST. That's why when women are on welfare, the first thing they go after are the father's so that they can payback the state for the aid the mothers and kids receive. The system could care less about mothers and kids getting their money, they want their money FIRST. People would fare better trying to work out a mutual agreement before having the state and courts getting involved. Child support should be a last resort.

Wow, you are so on point about the court system not really caring about the kids. If only more people were like you and sought to work things out on the front end and only go to court as a last resort. I remember when I was giving my son's Mother a set amount each month and still doing all the extras and she took me down there anyway. When we got down there the judge asked her if she was sure she wanted to continue and she said, "...yes," he promptly reduced what I was paying her by $40 and didn't even include the money that the county was going to take out as a fee. Her greed ended up costing her about $60 dollars a month and now that she is upset, I no longer get to see my son. Greed and a lack of desire to work things out are at the root of too many CS cases.
