The cast of the upcoming Sparkle movie has been chillin' around the Motor City where they are currently filming. And yesterday, they all hit up the Detroit Lions NFL game. Pics of Whitney Houston, Jordin Sparks, Tika Sumpter, and more kickin' it inside...

Fun times for the Sparkle cast! The ladies (plus Omari Hardwick) chilled in a suite at Lions stadium yesterday to take in the Sunday game. And Whitney was looking great too:

Ndamukong Suh, Detroit Lions Defensive Tackle and the current NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, invited the cast to watch from his suite:

And he met up with them afterwards. Cute.

All the cast members--including Omari Hardwick above--and Producer Curtis Wallace were there for some fun. Jordin tweeted:

This is the people who have

This is the people who have problems with others voicing their opinions about a remake of this movie. I was around when the original movie came out; however, I left halfway through the movie. It wasn't my favorite; however, when people visit blogs, everyone's opinions are not going to be the same. What part of that don't many of you understand? If people want to complain about the remake, those that don't like it can skip over the posts. Now, is that so hard to comprehend? I don't care if they remake it or not. In fact, I will be more than willing to support the remake because I like most of the actors involved. Sooooo, my point is, it isn't that serious. Ya dig?

Whether people want it to be

Whether people want it to be remade or not, it is going to be remade. People need to shut up and stop judging things before they even come out. I like the casting. I know Jordin hasn't been a film yet, but she has performed on broadway so she has some experience and I've seen her live so I know she can sing. I think they'll do a good job with the remake. People need to stop make such a big fucking deal out of remakes. Things are remade.. it happens and if anything it being remade is good exposure because I know a lot of people who have never even heard of Sparkle.

I know allot of ppl are questioning and doesn't like the idea of the movie "Sparkle" remade. But truth is, allot of ppl do not know about the original, and I think its a good way to publicize the original and more ppl can take notice and watch it. There's nothing wrong with modernizing something good...either you'll like it or hate it. But more ppl will start to acknowledge the original...my opinion

I keep hearing ALOT of ppl

I keep hearing ALOT of ppl questioning this remake, and I know Sparkle is a cult classic. But I didn't think the original was all that great compared to other movies of it's time (Cooley High, Bingo Long & The Traveling All Stars, Uptown Sat. Night). I'm sure I'm the minority but I think they can do "the story" more justice than the original. Just my opinion don't cyber-threaten me. lol.

I don't think they had to remake Sparkle. I think there are plenty of ideas for original movies with similar story lines. The writers could have done what Dream girls did. Just write a story. I probably will see the remake, I just hope it's not a huge disappointment.
