OH REALLY?: Tyler Perry Taps KIM KARDASHIAN To CO-STAR In Upcoming "Marriage Counselor" Movie

So....Tyler Perry has made a surprising casting decision for his movie The Marriage Counselor, which is based on his play of the same name. He just signed on Kim Kardashian and her acting "skills" to co-star alongside Jurnee Smollett. Yes, we're serious.

According to Deadline Hollywood, Tyler P. just gave birthday girl Kim K. (she turned 31 today) a present she will of course love: Another chance to appear on the big screen and more opportunities to get publicity.

She previously appeared in the satirical movie Disaster Movie. And it's pretty clear Tyler went the publicity-over-actual-talent route this go round in order to have a built-in publicity horse and an additional expanded audience. Which means more cash. But will it work?

Here's what the plot of the movie is all about.

The film tells the story of Judith, an Ivy League-educated relationship expert who makes her living dispensing marital advice, but is so bored with her own marriage that she breaks her professional code and cheats with a smooth talking client only to realize she has made a huge mistake. Jurnee Smollett plays the marriage counselor and Kadashian will play Ava, a co-worker who gives Judith a big city makeover and new confidence as she struggles with her personal issues.

Newlywed Kim has also been involved all week in a slew of breakup rumors with her hubby of 2 ~~weeks~~ months Kris Humphries. But sources close to her are denying a split. Shooting begins October 26th in Atlanta. Kim confirmed tonight tweeting:

The biggest mistake i have seen and heard blacks make is claiming there is racism and we all celebrate Ebony,Bet and other numerous black induced organizations.Bring Kim K into the fold is sending a message to all that he wants to be a producer and not a black producer. African americans need to leave that notion of being oppressed and do something tangible without thinking their backwardness is the result of their skin colour. OUCH, that hit me like a ton of bricks. Many black people love the kardashians. Some black people forget, think they are black. Whenever a non black person shows interest in us, we turn into the unpopular little kid who is so happy that the popular, pretty person likes us/shows interest. Black men drool over Kim, some black women are obsessed with her. The fact is, we have the tendency to support non blacks than our own sometimes. Even though in this case, I will say it's more of business than anything. I will have a problem if she's cast in the same movie with some of the prominent actresses like Angela Basset, Kimberly Elise, Sanaa Lathan or Gabrielle Union. But then, I can't take any guy serious who plays himself in all his movies, obnoxious, overdramatic, annoying high pitch voice. Some find humor in that, not me. I guess, that's who he wishes he is in real life. I want to take this time to thank Tyler Perry for helping our community by confirming every stereotype about us.
