The video was surprisingly good. Pure Art. About the whole Chris Brown thing--We all would want to express this pain or whatever if we had an emotionally charged relationship. I think she is speaking out about domestic abuse and drugs in her own way. She understood that it wasn't the right path for her and she ended up leaving. Something a lot of people wouldn't do. She doesn't need to start a campaign for domestic/relationship violence to make a statement. I think she made one right here.

Everyone is talking about how great this vid is....and its great, it tells a story and the kids will eat this up because it speaks to their generation. It has a whole Skins vibe to it which i hate because although the teens and young adults are really experiencing these things, does not mean they have to be highlighted. Many people will not see this as a do not do this message, they will see..."it must be a normal thing to experience" when its not and can lead down a dangerous past. Its wrong for her to exploit her relationship and subsequent violent exchange with Chris. Even if your not a Rihanna fan you HAVE to respect that fact that this girl puts her all into a video. I think when her and Chris Brown got into the very public incident, it triggered something in her because that when she somewhat transformed right in front of us. Yes I think alot of the context of the video is somewhat based on her and Chris' relationship. But no other artist right now, just really pushes the bull shit aside and just give us rawness. It bothers me when artists are so "perfect" because that's not reality. I don't ever feel like she's posing...it is what it is with her and that's why I'm a huge fan...This video is epic and she IS the Madonna of today, like it or not, because at the end of the day....numbers don't lie, this girl is making history and she has proven that she is a force to be reckoned with! I respect Beyonce BUT it all fairness, the songs on 4 have been her most honest and mature BUT the videos produced from this CD have been really silly and not up to par..right now Rihanna is the video queen!

The only think I could really think of while watching this is her co-star looks like a good kisser. They had great chemistry and those kisses were super hot. I could take or leave Rihanna but I wanted to see this video. It's edgy. I kinda like it.

I'm thinking of how ironic it is that during making of this video the one scene that got leaked was the car scene. Remember how just about the full population encircled the "act" and were spectators to the whole "car scene act". It was like a exhibit. Looking at all the comments about her acting potential, it makes you think why that one particulat part was isolated and had a full assembly. That fight got so much attention that Oprah got her nose in it. I wonder what the full story is..and what significance it holds to the extent that it is released every time she comes out with something new, it's got more to do with sensationalism then we think, something dark went down in that car and symbolism associated to it imo
