I love me some Serena, yet girl need to get a different hair style until her hair grows back in the center. Maybe she should even consider a wig. However, I still love her =)

It could very well be a balding weave. I don't remember her hair being that texture previously. Her edges are a different texture from the hair she is wearing.

You know I am not going to say anything negative. Serena already has a lot to deal with in terms of the constant criticism with her body and shyt. She prolly wears these weaves and wigs to give her a sense of femininity and glamour, especially considering her older sister is tall and lean. Serena, shyt happens, just give the weaves a rest ever so often. Moderation is the key to every thing in life. Remember you are still a very young woman who has many years ahead of her, don't spoil what you have now because it will take a whole lot more to replace later. Best wishes doll!

Whether it's a lacefront or her actual hair that's balding, it's clear HER hair needs immediate attention because those BDB's around her edges are not ok! Looking at her and Venus through the years, it is so clear that, for us black women, good and bad hair care behavior is learned. Look at her mom and all her sisters. It is obvious they don't care for their own hair. All the money they have, and you would think they would have the most hooked up weave or lacefront out there if that's what they insist on wearing. But no. Their heads constantly look like they did it themselves or were hooked up by a kitchen beautician. Serena is going to school to learn how to do pedicures and manicures. Maybe she should go for that full cosmetology program to learn how to properly care for that head.

This is a silk top lace front that Serena has wore the "paint" off and pulled out the hairs probably due to excessive scratching and excessive wear. It's not uncommon. The silktop gives the look of scalp that's why it looks that way but if you closely to the edge of her hairline you can see a slight demarcation of difference. Now why would you want to put her on blast like that. Serena is an accomplished high-level athletes with more trophees and titles that you would get in 10 lifetime. She's has worked hard to get where she is and it just shows to all of us that hard work and dedication you can achieve untold successes. You have no problems being the Knowles' little puppet, posting day in and day out the garbage that these people feed you, kissing ass and bending over and backward to please them, when we all know they most likely don't give a damn about you and would shut your rinky-dink blog in a sec, buthave no problem trying to embarrass such an impeccable, highly accomplished sister ! Get your priority straight. Serena is a role model for a lot of young girls out there. You don't see her faking the funk half-naked in front of the whole world just because. SHE IS SUCCESSFUL BECAUSE OF HER ABILITIES AND HARD WORK. NOT BECAUSE SHE SHOWS HER ASS.

Weave is NOT the easy way out, too many people want to be cute and lazy with it and think braids and weave is the easy fix, NOPE, there are NO EASY roads in life, even weave requires strict care. Even perm is mad dangerous. If you perm too often the chemicals destroy, if you perm too few the hair can't tolerate it, HAIR IS SUCH HARD WORK and weaves and wigs aren't the cure, didn't kelly rowland have bald spots this year. Maybe it's really not a joke that you need to nourish your hair daily, stimulate blood flow in your scalp daily and brush it with like 30 strokes. Serena better start massaging that scalp with some hot oil.

not only is there a bald patch in the crown but her edges are beyond damaged. My biggest problem though is that small ass jacket and why is she always hanging out with reality tv socialites? Serena just needs to chill and make some real non-hollywood friends who actually have jobs.

Hopefully, black women who wear weaves come to their senses and realize how idiotic wearing all that fake hair is. Just LEARN to take care of your hair. Number one, this weaves/wigs/lacefronts will destroy your hair. Number 2, it doesn't look natural. We ALL know most black women cannot grow their hair that long and that most black women have kinky, nappy hair. The exceptions tend to be mixed or Latina or from foreign countries. Serena looks like the fool that she is.

To turn this post positive, what are some remedies that some of you women use for traction alopecia and/or small bald spots. Many swear by castor oil massaged into the area. Thoughts?
