Fashion Guru June Ambrose Heads To VH1 For "The June Ambrose Project"!

We exclusively told you last year one of YBF's fave fashion gurus and stylists, June Ambrose, was set to shoot a pilot for her own docu-reality show for VH1. And now it's official. The network just confirmed the show will premiere early 2012! Deets inside...

VH1 grabbed up one of the queens of celebrity style, June Ambrose, to give them one of their first fashion docu-reality shows.

“The June Ambrose Project,” (working title) a half-hour docu-series, is scheduled to premiere in early 2012.

June, who has a son, Chance, and daughter, Summer, with her hubby Marc, has been styling and designing wardrobe for over 20 years for A-list folks like Sean Combs, Alicia Keys, Kelly Ripa, Kim Cattrall, Jay Z, and Mary J Blige. So we may just get to see her in action with some of these folks.

Here's the breakdown of the show from VH1:

In “The June Ambrose Project,” June and her team of tireless assistants will take on a mix of up-and-coming and established celebrity clients – some actors, some musicians -- who would like to re-imagine their looks and brands. Each episode will chronicle an image makeover and overall rebranding, culminating in a visually stunning event designed to focus on the celebrity’s new look.

In addition to makeovers, viewers will get to see how June juggles her family life, CEO of her celebrity styling house Mode Squad and her burgeoning empire. Adding to June’s to-do list is a record label, books and a plethora of assignments ranging from celebrity clients, fashion shows and photo shoots to emergency style interventions for friends she can never turn down.

“We at VH1 are so thrilled to dive into the fashion world with none other than the industry’s top styling icon, June Ambrose,” said Jeff Olde, EVP, Original Programming and Production VH1. “June is a true original and a creative force of nature who will offer our viewers an exclusive peek behind the curtain into her world of celeb fashion and branding.”

Excited yet? We for damn sure are....

I don't know June Ambrose but she's fly to me and I don't know why people are comparing here to Rachel Zoe when I just yesterday walked pass Bloomingdales and saw Rachel Zoe's window and one of jackets were clearly a remake from another designer. She's alright to me nothing to hoot and holler about.

I wouldn't understand WHY people would compare her to Rachel Zoe either. I mean I've known about June Ambrose BEFORE I've even heard of Rachel Zoe. Plus BOTH stylist clearly have their OWN sense of style, BOTH to be admired in my opinion. Nevertheless I think they are talented in their own right and have different tactics in styling compared to what I've watched on "The Rachel Zoe Project" and on "Styled by June". Each of them are truly unique....at least in watching their shows I don't think I'll get a sense of redundancy.

Likely, the folks that beg to differ have never traveled any further than Miami, Atlanta, LA or New York...unstamped passports. LMAO @ this "show". June is a very nice person. I actually like her as an individual but as a STYLIST...NO. June's style is DATED and it's not forward looking or Influential on the RED CARPET. The turban and those TIRED glasses don't work. June is not on the level of Rachel Zoe (half of A-List Hollywood),Andrea Lieberman (Stefani, J-Lopez),Britt Bardo( Kate Hudson) , Jessica Paster (Jennifer Hudson) , Estee Stanley (OLSEN TWINS) and she quite frankly never will be. Maybe you don't get it but Blog allows ANYONE to comment. The subject is JUNE and her reality show. And sorry June is not relevant in FASHION in 2011. Now if you equate a reality show on Vh-1 with relevance in fashion YOU don't know fashion or relevance. Being a has-been Hip-Hop Stylist is not what I call "Relevant". In 2011 artist don't rely on June for a look they look to others and I named those names in a previous post. Yes, June had some nice moments with Hype Wiliams and in Hip Hop with some artists but those trends are anything but memorable. And posting about June does not make her as relevant as Rachel Zoe sweetie sorry. June is trying.... desperately to BECOME relevant in 2011. I love the white dress with her turban? looks really nice, But when i try to adapt these looks by stylist & lets say What Not To Wear i end up looking like a hot mess,lol I swear i heard nothing matches no more but i just can't pull it off. Anywhoo June looks nice here.
