CELEBS GIVE BACK: Jennifer Hudson & Sister Julia Donate School Supplies For The "Julian D. King Gift Foundation"

Over the weekend, Jennifer Hudson and her family celebrated the life and legacy of her slain nephew Julian D. King by giving out school supplies to children in her hometown of Chicago. Get the deets inside....

In Chicago, Jennifer Hudson was joined by her sister Julia at the first Julian D. King Gift Foundation Hatch Day celebration, started in honor of her nephew.

It was truly a family affair as the Hudson sisters were joined by Jen's little one, David Daniel Otunga Jr. Awww.

The event was held at the De La Salle Institute and volunteers wore shirts that read “Happy 10th Birthday Julian" while passing out school supplies.

It's great to see Jennifer and Julia keeping Julian's legacy alive.

Wow, raised in the Lord, putting Him first, being given a precious gift such as her "voice" from the Lord, and now he has rewarded her bountifully. Looks like some of you might want to serve the Lord as well. Everything Ms. Hudson has worked for with her own God given blood, sweat, tears and heavenly vocals has finally and deservingly come in to fruition. All that you evil, worthless excuses for human beings on this blog can do is talk about her son's hair, her sister's weight. It is more important that she help those less fortunate than to even worry about a hair cut. And to the dumbo who wrote the comment about Julia's lack of weight loss, I don't believe that is Jennifer's fault as Julia has to want to do it for herself. Most of you must realize the evil, jealousy that you have here is foretold in the Bible. People like you; persons who are not happy with themselves, jealous because they don't have the success and money of this beautiful Black, young woman. Envy that a young, African American can rise from nothing to the cream of the crop. There is nothing you can do to change it. You have to deal with her success and know that the more shit you talk, the more successful she will get. I suggest you find something to do with your lives, read a book, (read Jennifer's book), go back to school, join a church, get a job, try to own your own business (like Jennifer). Pray that you get to that place in life where you need to be because if you were happy with yourselves and not deeply rooted in mean spirituality, you would not have it in your spirit to say these things. I will pray for all of you that your lives improve and I will say to Jennifer Hudson, Julia Hudson and family, continue to RISE above all of this and make a great name for yourselves and your fellow African Americans who are doing the same. Jennifer, continue to enjoy all the gifts that the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has given you. I will continue to pray for the evil, envious ones that they stay out of your path. Amen.

Why are we assuming we know

Why are we assuming we know something about people we don't know at all. You can try to help someone as much as you like but they have to be a willing participant. I'd rather err on the side of caution and give them the benefit of doubt. Since its fair to asume that there is no way we love JHud sister more than she does. It should also be fair to assume that she has the resources to help her sister. And if she has the resources, then I'm sure she is willing to help however she can. At the end of the day, if her sister is not ready and doesn't want to commit to what it takes no amount of wanting it for her would be enough. She can offer her surgery, a program or whatever but she has to accept the offer by commiting. Heck, if she really wanted it, no one would have to offer. Just seeing your sister accomplish it would be motivation, at least a start in the right direction. I think people shouldnt make assertions about people they don't know because their assertions are probably so far from the truth and inaccurate.

I'm sure with all that they have been through theyre closer as a result. Just because she willing to pay for surgery, or even wants her sister to have surgery doesn't mean the other will commit to it. Maybe she's scared of surgery. I'm not saying Jennifer offered however there is no way I can assume she didn't because of how the sister looks. In fact, the only reasonable assumption is that her sister is not ready to loose weight because when she is she will, whether its surgery, natural, or a combination of the both.

Some of you all are so cold hearted and inconsiderate. Just because Jennifer was able to go on and lose weight does not take anything away from her sister as to what type of person she is. Jen lost her mother, brother and nephew. Her sister lost her mother, brother AND OWN SON THAT SHE CARRIED FOR NINE MONTHS! Can you imagine what she might be going through that maybe Jen didn't? SHE LOST HER SON! Just like some people cope with their problems with drinking, drugging, sexing, or bling maybe her coping mechanism is food. I totaly agree with you!!! I'm from a place where that shit is real...atleast the human sacrifice and black magic bit of things. there are parts of the world where that sh*t is real. Where you can't let your child go outside on their own because you may never see them again. So to hear people throw around such accusations freely like its a freakin joke gets to me. It's not like these people don't live their lives publically. We see the hard work they put in to be where they are...so why the extra negativity? Is it because we can't get to where they are? If half the energy put into such BS accusations was put into furthering some of these commentor's futures, they may attain a fair bit of success.

Think about your reality and the white people you work around, and look how different they are on tv/movies. white media is bias showing mostly the friendly side of white-women, except MTV and VH1-they show the bitter side of white-women. MEXICAN WOMEN ARE JUST AS BITTER AND MEAN, REALLY MEAN TO EVERYONE, they're always snapping and being aggressive and have a rude look on their face (MEXICAN men are so friendly and always smiling) THE WOMEN GOT MAD ATTITUDES before you even ask them a question, EVEYLN LOZONDA PERSOANLITY IS VERY FAMILIAR IN THIS CITY, MEAN, RUDE EXPRESSION, JUDGEMENTAL. and a lot of MEXICAN WOMEN here don't even like being mexican, they're bitter about that and just hateful towards the MEXICANS who are proud. ( I had the rudest spanish teacher EVER, she was a teacher yet she was always too annoyed to help, one day a student called her on it and people dropped her class) Had a mexican supervisor who was just arrogant and evil, always bullying the employees and talking in a harsh tone. And MEXICAN women who work customer service always seem to be ready to fight just mad. IT'S A BLACK AND WHITE WORLD SO BLACK WOMEN GET THE BAD MEDIA WHILE WHITE WOMEN GET THAT PRECIOUS ANGEL STATUS, but take away the bias and ASIANS, MEXICAN, WHITES, BLACKS ALL HAVE SOME WHO ARE EQUALLY MEAN, BITTER, JUDGEMENTAL, DISMISSIVE, UNFRIENDLY AND SINGLE BECAUSE OF THEIR BAD ATTITUDES.
