Jay-Z Tops FORBES List Of Hip-Hop Money Earners With $37M + "Watch The Throne" Lands At #1 In 23 Countries

Jay-Z is having one of the best weeks ever. In addition to watching his latest LP with Kanye top the charts in 23 countries, FORBES just revealed that Mr. Carter earned the most money in the hip hop game last year. Get the deets inside....

For the fourth time in five years, rapper and mogul Jay-Z is hip-hop’s top earner with $37 million in the past 12 months, according to the latest ranking by FORBES.

Jay-Z's top-notch portfolio was driven by his Blueprint 3 Tour and multiple business interests, according to the mag, which helped him beat out second-ranked Diddy (who raked in $35 million).

“Jay-Z and Kanye are hip-hop ambassadors,” says Steve Stoute, Jay's business partner, chief of branding firm Translation and author of The Tanning of America. “They bring the art form around the world, and they’ve taken production and everything to the next level. Now they’ve got a chance to grow with their global audience.”

And Hov's good news doesn't stop there as he also found out that his album with Kanye West, Watch The Throne, went to #1 at iTunes in 23 countries!

It's easy to make the top of the list when you're the only one working, get a time machine and drop them off in the 80's 90's and lets see how many lists they DON'T MAKE. JZ smiling that big camel smile, but dude look around, you're running the race alone, everybody else is just playing around and having groupie fun, including Diddy and Wayne, they're not focused on music, they're focused on baby-making. And T.I is wasting his talent and meaningful lyrics on criminal activity. JZ, Beyonce and crazy Kanye are just about the only ones who don't waste time partying like rock stars, they're the only ones in this lame generation of music that wake up and breath just to make money. Most other rappers are less focused on work and are MORE focused on fashion, drinks and groupies, they're just playing around while Jay-z, Kanye, beyonce are consumed with completing projects to make money. Not impressed that arrogant bastards with no social life and a hard on for money are at the top of the list, why wouldn't they be when no one else is competing because they're too busy playing or not getting signed to a label, Where the hell is Nas, Mos Def big mainstream promo albums, and Enimem don't give a Sh*t about fame, he comes and goes at his convenience, if he had the same thirst for success he had when he started he would be leading the rap pack, but he doesn't care AT ALL, it's not that serious for him like it is for Jay-z-beyonce who are on a mission to make up for their sad childhoods by being the most popular kids on the block. If they wasted time playing with groupies at liquor hotel parties they would be equal to the rest, they stand out WHY, because hard work and focus on completing a project pays off and creative talent is irrelevant when you're the only one who is reliable.

Thank you for being on point. I don't know what Wayne music they are listening to that garbage is ridiculous. Beyonce And JayZ are hard workers and its paying off. Sweetie, it's not just about the music. It's about the business. You have to conqure the business side. You have to be an owner not an employee or crew member. JZ and Diddy own Sh**t. Most of the deals that they are envolved in, they are owners...which mean that they make most of the money involved in the deals. Cash Money is talented but, you can't be an owner of much in jail or high on "what's in my cup". There are a lot of famous, talent artist that are broke because they don't know how to handle the business side of things. While the record executives are supper rich because they own the projects. Now, don't get me wrong Baby at "YMCM" has a lot of money but, just not as much as Jay.....he has used his success in music to span ourside of the rap game.....Clothing lines, production deals, real estate, Basketball team, and so many more things. All the up and coming artist should definitly study him and others like him. Just like people in the finacial worl stury Warren Buffet. Or people in the real estate world strudy Donald Trump. It's about business baby. Not just being about to spit 8 verses (or whatever they say). Wake up people!!!

I'm actually impressed by any

I'm actually impressed by any one who comes from humble beginnings and go to royalty-in terms of wealth, most especially legitimately. Most people who make money to the tune of 37 million dollars in one year has wealth that dates back from generations. Wealth that they themselves didn't work for-was past down to them, (i,e, Hiltons and the like- I do acknowledge that they still had to work to sustain what they inherited). The fact that the vast majority of us don't have that is is why black america represents the poorest race. The average black america measure most of their wealth in the one home that they own. And just think Jay Z parents probably never owned a home until he purchased one for them (grew up in the projects). I am very proud of Black America, so many of us are doing our thing man, whether it be in the arts, business, or whatever. So many of us are actually living a life that wasn't possible for our parents and their parents. So many of us are actually first generation millionaires!!! That is insane, especially with our past. I'm just sayin!
