IN A NEW YORK MINUTE: Beyonce's "4" Concert Sells Out In 22 Seconds!

Things happen fast as all hell in New York City, but this is on another level. If you blinked your eyes at your computer screen earlier today when trying to cop Beyonce tix, you might have missed your chance. Get the deets on how the diva's NYC 4-nights-only concert tickets got gobbled up in SECONDS....

Earlier today, sales for Beyonce's "4 Intimate Nights With Beyonce" concert series went on sale. And they were gone literally in a flash. According to her label Columbia's press release, her first show, on August 14 at NYC's Roseland Ballroom, sold out in 22 seconds!

With three nights left, the final shows went on sale every hour today until 4pm EST. And before 5p, all 4 dates were sold out.

The show itself is being hyped as an opportunity for Bey to perform her entire album, "4" before an intimate room of fans. Most of us will be praying for a DVD release...

In other Beyonce news, the charitable artist is lending her support to the East African food crisis by linking her social networking pages to a downloaded movie about the crisis. Great to see she continues to give back.

People camped out overnight in the pouring rain! The line completely wrapped around the block and was overlapping - insane. This girl is god's gift to entertainment. True powerhouse talent. And was so humble, warm, BEAUTIFUL (skin is gorgeous) and funny. People didn't want to leave when it was over! Intimate Affair - lol - it was like 3500 people there and she ROCKED!

It's billed as an INTIMATE AFFAIR. No secret on size. The capacity is 2500 and they packed 3600 into their. The shows are hyped bc not everyone can sell out 4 shows in the same setting doing the same songs. And that's because she's very relevant.

I don't think the tix were ever available to the public. With or without the Citi card it's effed up that we couldn't get tix to a show announced a week ahead of time. I actually think it's a great marketing ploy. She "sold out" show to promoters, contests, radio etc. and the people that purchased the album get screwed. Then after you know the tix are sold out, you go further to release in on ticketmaster TODAY! I'm pissed and I'll never use my money to support her again.

It's not HER or her RECORD COMPANY'S doing when this happens. PROMOTERS, Radio Stations and other ticket agency outlets are allowed to buy chunks of tickets for resale and giveaways. The promoters do it bc when it's a hot ticket, they know they can re-sell for $200 or more over the price. It's legal but fucked up for fans. I actually did get my tix through the pre-sale. It's just a matter of luck and getting through and if not, catch them through re-sale at the other agencies when ticketmaster runs out.

First of all, I copped 4 tickets to the Friday concert and I can co-sign on how hard they were to get. The ONLY reason I was able to get tix is because CitiCard offered it's members a pre-sale 1 hr before the tix became available to the general public. I was the ONLY one of of my whole crew to get tix. All my other friends had no luck so yeah, Bey sold all those tickets mad quick!

Just saw a report about how J.LO and a couple of other celebrities are "concerned" about the recession because their fans are struggling to afford their unnecessary crap that they put out. For the record, I questioned anything that comes from an artist's record company in regards to selling out concerts. Beyonce's record company's job is to promote her and they will say anything to move units. Now if it was Ticketmaster that said this then it would be more believeable.
