Tyler Perry Ends "House Of Payne" But Plans Launch Of New Series + Garcelle Beauvais, Tristan Wilds And Tatyana Ali Get Hot In Hollywood

After five successful years, TBS and Tyler Perry have announced that production of the series "House Of Payne" will end this year and be replaced by a new series. Get the deets on Tyler's new show inside and see pics of Garcelle Beauvais and Tristan Wilds partying in Hollywood...

Tyler Perry's TBS series "House Of Payne" will end production this year after a successful run of 222 episodes. To help fill the void, Tyler Perry is creating a new series for the network based on characters from his Why Did I Get Married movies called "For Better or Worse."

Talking about the new series, Tyler said:

“Even though it will be sad to say goodbye to House of Payne, I’m really looking forward to exploring new territory with For Better or Worse.” Working on "House of Payne" taught me a lot about what it takes to make a successful television series and I’m looking forward to applying that experience to "For Better or Worse.”

The new show will chronicle the life of a married couple, with Michael Jai White and Tasha Smith reprising their roles as television anchor Marcus and salon owner Angela and will target young adults.

And last night in Hollywood, US WEEKLY hosted the Hot Hollywood Party at Eden.

Tatyana Ali was there.

And so was actor Tristan Wilds.

"Gossip Girl" actress Jessica Szohr was also there. I love this party dress.

Triple threat singer/dancer/actress Katerina Graham looked amazing.

Garcelle Beauvais looked stunning in her orange gown and gold heels.

Dania Ramirez wore an electric blue dress.

Wait a minute, house of payne DOESN'T portray blacks as being loud, obnoxious, prying, annoying people? I suppose it's better than portraying them as saggy-jean-wearing, obnoxious sideways-baseball-cap having 20'' rim addicts with chintzy cars. I might have to tune in sometime. I watched House of Payne,

I watched House of Payne, last Friday- Calvin regained consciousness, after being in a coma from getting shot by some violent assailant, as he was about to leave C.J. & Janine's residence. Curtis declined to sell his house and is now helping Ella to take care of their son, Calvin, and nurse him back to health. As House of Payne comes to an end, maybe Tyler Perry can revisit the Hernandez family, the Payne's hispanic neighbors and possibly spin them off into their own sitcom. It's a way Tyler Perry can furtherly connect with his hispanic audience. At the same time, I'm sure he also has other TV sitcom ideas.

Oh well it was nice while it

Oh well it was nice while it lasted. I didn't care for Meet the Browns that much because it was far off the path of the movie. For a religious man and woman; Cora and Mr. Brown never went to church, never sang like they did in the plays. It is sad there are no black sitcoms that actually stay on tv very long. Why did you kill Calvin off the House of Payne like that? Oh well. Now a show with Miss Edna, Brown, Curtis and Jenifer Lewis. Jenifer is sassy, funny as hell and can play a drunk like it ain't nothing. I guess I'll have to continue watching The Big Bang Theory and Two and A Half Men.

I for one loved House of

I for one loved House of Payne and watched it faithfully. The characters felt like family, the topics were entertaining and informative, and the actors did a great job. I must admit that I wasn't overly impressed during the first couple of episodes, but as time went on there was great improvement. What I DID NOT like was the killing of Calvin. The entire episode was uplifting and I cried during the testimonies and songs in church, but the ending was VERY DEPRESSING!

I loved the House of Payne show and really sad it's ending. I was shocked at the killing of Calvin. Why not end the show on a positive note. I was very, very very, depressing ro watch him gasping for breath and reaching for the phone.

I couldn't believe it either

I couldn't believe it either when I saw it, wow he killed off Calvin. I didn't like that too much, the story really took me for a awwwww~And he is replacing it with his new show~I don't care for that show at all, the wife gets on my nerves with calling his name all the time Marcus, Marcus~It just don't seem like a good show to me, I stopped watching it because it really was getting boring to me~And The Browns, yes how is the daughter and the father the same age, what is up with that~It's ok, but the two kids put a drag on the show and their adopted mother is boring to me also~The only person that do something for the show is Mr. Brown and the lady he don't like that married the Coronel, they do something for the show, the other people are just there to me~I will miss the House of Payne's, I will miss Curtis the most, he was very funny and that brother can sing~

I am so sick of the "man

I am so sick of the "man body" comments when ever a girl has no hips. My body type is similar to Kat's and I don't think I have a mannish body. Hips are hereditary but just because some of us don't have them doesn't make us less womanly. Black women are so mean and judgmental when it comes to our looks.
