LEGAL WOES: American Express Sues Actress Jasmine Guy For $86,000!

Actress Jasmine Guy may be going through some difficult times financially if the lawsuit recently filed by American Express is any indication of her finances.

The recession has officially struck Whitley Gilbert--looks like she was among those caught up in the economic downturn. 

American Express is sueing "A Different World" star Jasmine Guy for $86,241 in unpaid credit card debt and associated attorney fees, delinquency costs and interest.  That's A LOT of debt.  In papers filed and posted on RadarOnline.com, AmEx said, 

Jasmine Guy "has received the monthly [billing] statements without protest, and has not advised American Express that such statements were in error in any respect."

So far, Jasmine has not responded publicly...and she probably won't.  But I hope she gets her finances in order.  If not...there's always a new Tyler Perry production on the road.  She can sing, dance and act...must be something Madea could throw together for her.

File bankruptcy on their azz. If they call me and say "when can we get a payment"..I'm like, "when can you wire me some money"? .... I mean if you don't have it, you just don't freakin have it. AMEX ain't playing around

AMEX ain't playing around these days. During my final days of wedding planning, I was late 3 days on a payment (ONE TIME!!) and they doubled my interest rate. You could borrow money from Johnny No-Thumbs and pay a lower interest rate. Slide that balance over to a lower balance card and get AMEX off your back!
