RUMOR CONTROL: Chris Brown's Publicist Says Split Was Mutual...But We Hear She Was Fired!

Chris Brown's ex-publicist just issued a statement about her split with Chris and we have it for you. Read the statement inside and get inside information that contradicts the statement....

Tammy Brook, who used to rep Chris Brown issued a statement to TMZ earlier today saying their split was mutual.

"I am an entertainment/music publicist and was hired as a publicist, as they often are, to work specifically on his music publicity for the term up to the release of Chris Brown's F.A.M.E. album, which was released on Tuesday March 22 and is entering the Billboard and iTunes charts at number 1 this week. I love and support Chris and it has been an honor to be a part of this album and I look forward to the possibility of working with him again in the future."

But an insider tells TheYBF.com that Tammy's statement is false.

Our insider says Chris fired Tammy because he wasn't happy with her work and "GMA" was the final straw. In fact, Chris had already hired Tammy's replacement before the "GMA" incident.

Chris Brown never said he blamed Robin Roberts, what he SAID on television was that he was blindsided by the questions because certain topic were supposed to be off limits. He did not say he blamed Roberts for that but he did blame the producers who handle that kind of thing. And to also clarify about Rihanna, I challenge you to find an interview where he sId it was Rihanna's fault. Nor did he put out a statement that it was he blamed his publicist for anything. In my opinion Chris definitely needs a stronger support team around . While everyone keeps saying he knew the question was going to be asked, it did not appear that way when the interview started. He repeatedly asked her to focus on the album . I think Chris believed that he was going on to discuss the album and nothing more . While I do not agree with the way he handled the situation , I think it is fair to assume that any person would be tired of someone continually rehashing the past over and over again. At what point do we just allow this young man to move on with his life , he is not the only person who has done something out of anger and wished like hell they could take it back. But without a strong support system behind him you can best believe he will continue to make mistakes that will continue to damage his image. I support Chris because I was young and dumb and just the folks around me talkng about it was more than I could handle at the time, I could not imagine the whole world knowing my business and scrutinizing me . I think if chris had a stronger support team they would have handled the aftermath between Chris and Rihanna totally different. So that today we would be talking about the album and about how much Chris has grown that is not to say he has not but it is hard to see that when he is breaking out windows. You are so on point. As a public relations executive, this is totally the responsibility of his PR team. It's called crisis management and Tammy was obviously in over her head. She's never had to deal with a crisis of this magnitude, she's basically the party publicist..gets you on red carpets and into super bowl, etc. which is not real PR! A real publicist briefs clients before the actual interview and does mock interviews, etc..especially with someone that is going through a crisis. I'm sure Tammy was in the green room sending out tweets and updating her FB page instead preparing Chris for being on national tv and responding to Rihanna questions. His team definitely needs to be revamped.

This is the person that was to tell Robin Robert's GMA team that Chris would appear and ONLY discuss his CD and nothing more! Can I tell you why it doesn't add up? Because nobody on this blog works in Chris Brown's camp. Everything posted here is pure SPECULATION with the exception of the officially released statement from the publicist which may or may not be the truth depending on what she wants the public to think.

He should take a page from Rihanna's and Kanye's books and start not giving a fuck. Kanye and Rihanna do whatever the hell they want, as well as other celebs too. Bobby Brown, for one, and I don't see them being harassed as much as Chris is. Either way, he needs to do him. These celebrities are shaped to appeal to certain groups of people, when they get in trouble... hell, thats them being them. Rihanna went from bubble gum to hardcore nut job showing her vagina to whoever will look at it. Be yourself, Chris. Its just taking everybody a little longer to adapt to this rough, wild side. Just because he choked Rihanna out don't mean he's a woman beater. he got in a fight with his girlfriend. Shit happens all the time. Lol not funny but it does.

there are things people can control but refuse to control.wHEN YOU ARE TREATED UNFAIRLY AT WORK DO YOU WRITE TO YOUR BOSS AND LET THEM KNOW HOW YOU FEEL.pROBABLY NOT YOU JUST ACCEPT IT.bUT THIS cHRIS THING YOU GOT A MOUTHFUL SOMETHING YOU CAN'T CHANGE.wHO ARE WE TO SAY HIS LIFE IS SPRIALING OUT OF CONTROL or its pathetic.We stroll for stories about people we don't care about or never going to met is pathetic.Just bashing him and each other for having a thought that differs.We holding this grudge for someone who doesnt even talks about it(RiRi)we are becoming so bitter.Focus on change what really matters OURSELVES instead of another person.We are willing beening treated unfairly on a daily and don't speak up but for another "celebrity"we are ready to type away.

@ Nikki Are you being serious right now? "WHO ARE WE TO SAY HIS LIFE IS SPRIALING OUT OF CONTROL or its pathetic." Ok what do you call what he did to Rihanna and then what he did at GMA???? I would love to hear your descriptions of those two acts? Beating a woman then running away from the scene. Hummm. Then tell me what you think of throwing chairs at windows at GMA then going into the street shirtless like some THUG? Are you aware of how many young and impressionable fans that Chris Brown has? Are you aware of how violent this man is? Are you aware that he is a FELON? Meeting Chris Brown is not the issue. I don't have to meet a rapist to know I don't approve of his actions. I don't have to meet Chris Brown to say that he has CLEAR problems with Violent and Anger. We can see the results of his actions and he has also spoken about how he grew up. Chris Brown's life has been described in some detail by him. Chris grew up in an abusive home. He wet the bed when his mother was being beaten and he said to her boyfriend that he wanted to kill him but he was too small to do anything. These are the things that Chris Brown is dealing with in his personal life and it comes out before the public in these violent ways I don't even think he understands why he acts like he does. This took YEARS to build. A person who smashes a chair through the window at a popular Morning show is not a normal person. I think people like you need to wake up and deal in reality and stop making excuses. It's like when Bill Cosby speaks about the state of the African American community and he runs off the stats like the percentages of single mothers, African American males in prisons, drop out numbers, Aids and abortions numbers, etc... SO many African American don't want to accept it or better yet do what they can to CHANGE it so what we have is generation after generation of failures, criminals and poor parents. This is bigger than Chris Brown. He is going to do what he is going to do but if people can't even condemn OBVIOUS poor behavior on a Blog and speak to what is right and proper it's also fair to assume these same people make poor decisions in their personal lives. Charity begins at HOME and if Chris Brown lived by that we would be speaking ONLY about his CD not about all this other stuff.
