In a shocking new development, sources close to Halle Berry are saying that Gabriel Aubry called her the "N" word and was verbally abusive during their relationship. Deets inside....

TMZ reports that sources close to Halle Berry are saying Gabriel Aubry was verbally abusive to the movie star and called her the "N" word.

In addition to vulgar text messages, sources say he was also fond of calling her a "f**king bitch" and other expletives. The source ended by saying, "He constantly demeaned her. It was awful."

This is outrageous. If Halle produces texts messages sent from Gabriel that are demeaning in nature...it's a wrap. The custody battle will collapse...along with his career. It will be interesting to see where this goes.

No court is going to give Halle exclusive rights to "their" daughter. I think this is a leak and it could come from any source it would be wise not to believe 100% that this came from Halle. But on the other side Gabe's camp has leaked some things about Halle as well that were not so nice. The people involved at mudslinging. That happens but my hope is that this ends soon and that an arrangement is in place for a more amicable arrangement for the sake of their CHILD.

I assume it, because Ms. Berry herself has gone on the record IN NUMEROUS statements, saying that he is a great guy. I find it VERY suspicious that Ms. Berry was willing to put him onto a plane and fly him to various locations all over the world to see his child. She never seemed to have a bad word to say about him UNTIL he filed for legal rights to his child. And again, I say, I find it HIGHLY suspicious that Gabriel has to FIGHT LEGALLY to even have his name put onto the child's birth certificate AFTER Ms. Berry has gone on the record in interviews naming him as the father.
