Here the problem with BET, I think we are thirsty to see images of ourselves especially one where we can see an entire cast of mordern black folk , that are good looking and modestly articulate that we ( some) make the mistake to be believe we are progressing . A paradox as it best because in the ninties we had a black sitcom boom spurheaded by fox - where we no longer just clinging to one family/ sitcom as our relatable show : we had hanging with mr cooper , martin , living single , waynes brothers ( a lil goofy but funny) , family matters , for your love , south central, my brother and me , kenan and kel, new york undercover,like family, sister + sister-, moesha , parkers, one on one etc. Many of them had black writes and producers so much of the story lines had on overall tone of progression even when tackling social sitatuions in our communty that were not always promising. While the game is a guilty pressure of mine as well which happens to have an black execuative producer it does not have one postive character that could be role model to anyone 14-18, the dialect and the slang used is just ghetto, often time every character had said in every conversation something that is deamining of black folks . Kelly: hood rats. Tasha : this is just another case of black woman being jelous of white woman. Although this is a dramaedy the character are all losers and trifiling had this been a reality show and not sitcom. The Cliche Derwin : The football player - with the illigetimate child and the babys moms but is suppose 2 be the church man- who only calls on God when convientant. Melaine - trifiling female- thought she was better than every1 else (sunbeams) because she was in medical school , but following the money. Banged 2 football players Well 1 friends... then slept with 2 other men but would do anything to make sure she live the life. Tasha -- funny but always the way ghetto . Malik the example of how professional athletes should not live their lives wasting money on foolish , messing with yabest friends girls. Jason - the black guys thatgoes to the white woman that he can control, backstabbing and retalation at any cost. Kelly - the savior of the for the black woman on the show who look up as if she was superior and without her advice they appearto be lost. In predom cast its funny how the white woman appears to be the only level headed , rational person more or less( untill this season). Race nutueral she does engender some characteritics for woman (go figure) . TT- love em sorry nothing bad to say. So to say that bet is trying to change their image , to show more postive image would be false. I used the show as example because they clean it up and but new cover on it and made it all shiny with bling bling and all dont mean its not the samething. Remember everything that glitter aint gold. Plus who do you think run BET- viaticom . WIth no protest from the black community , no sign disessecion rather 7.7 millions supporters opening night, do you think these white men decided to say hey lets air good black programining. Sorry that against their own self intrest . Unlike confused republicans , which white businessmen(women) never act against their own self intrest.

YEEEEEEESSSSSSSS....This looks very promising and I love this new unknown cast. I'm already a fan. Can't wait to see this series. Please don't air this on BET or some other janky network. I hope a real network picks this up and supports this. Go head Idris!
