Now with that being said, ladies, we have the buying power in the music industry. MEN do not buy what these artists are selling to the public. Teenagers and women control album sales and therefore, artists scareers. We have more power than you would like to think. I truly agree, black women have been written out of just about all music videos, especially the more classier videos. They don't mind putting the sister in the latest hip hop video that only involves shaking her ass. You want to change things in the industry, STOP buying these NEGROE'S shit! I mean really, don't download, don't watch or request the latest video, etc. More importantly, (though it will never happen), sisters need to stop showing up for the "booty videos" they DO cast them for. Simply stop supporting these brothers because they obviously don't support you. No I'm not bitter. I'm not going into the whole "what I got" bit, trust I'm good. I'm simply stating my opinion and the FACTS. If you don't like what's going on in the industry, do something about it. Of course, it will take collective action and dedication. For me, not that hard. I don't watch or listen to the bullshit even if I do like the music. I'm all for my people, and I'm not the one to be black man bashing. However your people got to be for you too. It is what it is. Black men don't support black women. There is much disdain for the place in which they came: the black woman, the most valuable asset in the world to the black man. So why should we then support them? It's simple mathematics.

Some black women are upset

Some black women are upset with this because we are tired of black men ditching us for every other race under the sun. If Avatars were real, black men would be hittin' that too. The problem is that black women are the least desirable and these artists that use MODELS not VIDEO GIRLS have a chance to showcase a beautiful black model in a video where she does not have to shake her booty, but he chose to showcase a latin woman. Its alright for black men to forget about black women but the second black women move onto another race its World War III. I remember how mad black men were when Halle Berry was with that white male model. We are suppose to stick with black men but they don't stick with us? Heck no. Thats why I am done. Black women are not portrayed in the media that often, especially dark skinned black women. So when an artist has a chance to portray a black model (which is rare) they should use that opportunity. Its like latin women are replacing black women. I "have to" watch Roxie's bony butt on 106th and Park on BET. I don't see any sistahs on telemundo.
