Executives at "The Wendy Williams Show" want the vivacious daytime talk show host to be a little less "Wendy" for the upcoming season. To appeal to middle-America moms, executives told the hair-and-makeup team to tone down Williams' look and for Wendy to tone down the personality.

Now we all know and love Wendy. It's going to be hard for her to be someone she's not. I think the execs are making a mistake. Maybe you shouldn't test for her demographic in an area which doesn't represent her demographic. Just a thought...

YBF chick Paula Patton has been cast in the new Mission: Impossible movie. It's a big feat for Patton who is said to have beaten out many Hollywood actresses to star as a young operative working with Tom Cruise.

Patton and Cruise join returning actors Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg along with new-to-the-franchise actor Jeremy Renner. Cameras start rolling this fall. Mission: Impossible is planned for a December 16, 2011 release.

However, it's still frowned upon and could damage or limit them career-wise. Wendy toned down A LOT from her radio days! I couldn't stand her back then, but now she has become very down to earth and I love it! Hate that they want her to water down even more. All that is going to succeed in doing is losing her current core audience, IMO.

If Wendy tones down her personality, she wouldn't be true to herself.... Not to mention, the ratings that she do have, will decrease. Her show is not your typical daytime program. She is not trying to be the Next Tyra or Oprah show. She's in her own lane and I think the producers and such should respect that. I'm sure properly promoting her show would intrigue a few stay-at-home-moms to give her show a gander. I don't know about you but I don't like anything watered down.

Wendy has toned it down enough. During her days on the radio Wendy used to go HARD! She has to bite her tongue and thats really hard for her. I like Wendy the way she is now and so does all of her fans. She isnt Oprah she's Wendy and there is no reason for her to change that as long as she isnt breaking any laws given by the FCC. I am not surprised nor do I blame producers and execs for wanting her to tone down. She is much more calm compared to her show's first season and she is less combative then she was on her show.
And when you are in syndication the goal is always to broaden your viewers. That means appeal to middle America.

Wendy needs to stay exactly as she is, that's why I started watching her show. And I agree with the poster that said, last season Wendy was way toned down. When the show came back after the winter hiatus, I noticed the change and the show started to get a little boring to me although I still watched, but if she tones it down even more, I just may quit watching altogether!!!

Why should Wendy get rid of what works. This IS wendy and has been her whole career, radio, TV whatever. She's not trying to be Oprah! Wendy should ignore them and keep on keeping on. I've kinda stopped watchin' Wendy just cuz she's OVER toned it down now. Now she talks all white washed and all her guests are white washed up celebs. I'm over her now.
