Rihanna Readies For A 4th Quarter Album Release, Takes Over Her Own Twitter

Get ready for another Rihanna promo push. Universal just told media outlets that Red Rih Rih is dropping a new album in the 4th quarter. We've got the details, and her first Tweet she actually sent herself when you read on...

According to the french music site Musique Evous, Rihanna is dropping a brand new album on November 2nd. Either she's been recordng in between tour stops, or she's going to pull an Usher and roll her leftover songs from her most recent album, Rated R, into a new album.

Barclay Label, Universal's division that Rihanna is a part of, says that the yet-to-be-titled album is indeed dropping this November. And it's been less than a year since her Rated R release.

And just in time to gear up for her promo run, Rih sent out her first Tweet today:

Sorry International but I disagree. Celebrity twitter accounts are all about marketing, first and foremost. Justin Bieber, Kanye West... What's surprising is that some of these people don't even tweet, even though they say they do, and it looks like they do. A lot of times its someone in their entourage who's with them 24 seven who is assigned the task. Other times they out right hire someone. You're told what to tweet, given pictures to upload, and limitations on whether you can engage with the followers. Your contact isn't the celeb but their PA. Britney Spears has never tweeted anything in her life, her management openingly posted that job, usually people are more discreet. But inorder to get more followers your fans have to believe you are the one tweeting, which is probably the motivation behind Rihanna's tweet.
