Montana Fishburne Says Her Daddy Is DONE With Her+Fantasia Says She's Ready To Get Back To Music

Montana Fishburne, aka Chippy D, told media yesterday that she spoke to daddy Laurence for the first time Monday since the porn hoopla. And he said he is disowning her till she gets her ish together. TMZ repoprted:

According to Montana, her dad said, "I'm not going to speak with you 'till you turn your life around." Laurence was referring to his daughter joining the ranks of Vivid Entertainment as a porn star.

Montana says Laurence added, "You embarrassed me."

And this parting shot. According to Montana, Laurence said, "You used your last name. No one uses their real name in porn."

Can you imagine him saying all this in his Morpheous voice?

In other news, Fantasia says she's ready to get back to her career. Well that's nice. With her new album drpping next week, her people over at Sony sent out a press release detailing her upcoming promo schedule, as well as this little statement:

“I can’t thank my fans enough for their prayers and support during such a challenging time. It has given me the motivation to get back to work and honor the commitments I made to promote ‘Back To Me,’” states Fantasia. “I put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this album and I pray that everyone enjoys it as much as I do.”

Fantasia will kick off her promo run with television performances on Good Morning America (8/24), Lopez Tonight (8/25), 106 & Park (9/8), Regis & Kelly (9/9) and Wendy Williams Show (9/10). Additional appearances include Steve Harvey’s Ford Hoodie Awards (8/28) and Tom Joyner’s Family Reunion (9/4). Well this ought to be an interesting promo run...

And on a more serious note, there was once a time, when you could actually aspire to be like the black r&b artist that were doing their thing. They had great careers, and for the most part led decent respectable public lives. Just to name a few, Aaliyah, Brandy, Monica, Amerie, Toni Braxton, Changing Faces, Monifah, Mariah Carey, Floetry, SWV, Total, Mya....the list goes on and on...no, they were not perfect, but never did they just blatantly ruin peoples lives, wreck homes, and carry on such scandalous affairs! This generation is really the worst, like hands down-I'm appalled. I remember watching r&b girls and saying to myself ' wow, I would love to be like her..". Now, I watch these broads, and I'm like,--disgusting-I hope I never live my life that way, regardless of what level of success I reach. I'm sure the veteran singers that used to be on top, appreciate that they do not have to consider the likes of women like Fantasia and Alicia Keys, their peers. I wouldn't want to, just as I wouldn't want to have to interact with a morale-less co-worker who's perhaps sleeping her way to the top. It really goes to show that money cannot by character; cannot buy class. And the music industry has really hit an all time low-especially with regard to PR firms. They are really soulless. I remember when PR teams would go out of there way to hide scandal, as it pertained to their artist. Now a days?? An orchestrated suicide attempt? Over a man married with two kids? Are you kidding me? I'm so disgusted.

The Fishburne situation would be better served, if he offered her help. There are serious issues between the lines that it seems like they were never dealt with when she was a child/growing up. Like her stating that she wanted to porn since 14? Prostituting for the last two years, and so on. There has been a blatant cry for attention and help. There has been several child/celebrity children who have made a turn around in their lives, because their families never gave up on them: Dru Barrymore, and too many other countless people whose families worked through the worst of times. As far as Tasia-Mae...I am speechless and I bet Tommy Maytola told her to get her a** out there and pimp this mess to the highest, or your career is toast!!! Montana is young and her actions and thoughts in recent interviews confirm this. She is a disappointment to her father and family and as a parent I would be EXTREMELY upset and wouldn't want anything to do with her either. That's a huge disgrace to herself and her family. It's sad that she would rather emulate the life of Kim Kardashian who rose to fame byways of a sex tape, then emulate her success after her father who became a well-respected actor based on his craft. It just shows how warped the media, and our society is when illustrating what it takes to be 'famous' these days. As hard as it may have been for Laurence Fishburne to say that to his daughter, it's also understandable. The unfortunate thing is that while she is at the age to make decisions, she is not at the level of maturity to understand the consequences.

It's sad that Montana would embarrass herself and her family! I totally understand what her dad must be going thru. You can give your kids faith in God, love, affection, needs, wants and teach them about life best & worst & they will can still grow up & do anything! She's self destructive & embarrassing but why? At this point it's only so much a parent can do especially because she's considered an adult, it's Sad! However when Fishburne gets over the embarrassment, hurt & all everything else perhaps he would reconsider talking to Montana. She needs professional help (bottom line). A dad like him would have embraced her in a heartbeat had she come to him with her desire to go off the beaten track for fame. I believe in my heart that he would have made a way for her to get into legitimate acting, if only she had opened up to her father.
