Gary Coleman's Ex Wants The House + Ike Turner Memorial In Mississippi

Gary Coleman's ex-wife Shannon Price has found something to fight about again. Read on to find out what she's arguing about now, plus deets on plans for a Ike Turner memorial in Mississippi...

Shannon is trying to stop Gary's estate from selling his house and a lot right next to it for $324,000. According to Price's representative, they will "do everything possible to fight this in court."

Shannon says that Gary told her 24 hours before he died that he "wanted [Shannan] to be taken care of" and that "everything goes to her". Something seems fishy about that...

His ex did live in the house at one time, but the estate kicked her out in June, and she's not named in Gary's will.

When will she give it up?!

Ike Turner's hometown of Clarksdale, Mississippi will celebrate his life this weekend. The city will unveil two markers honoring Ike and his musical legacy.

The unveiling will take place during the 23rd annual Sunflower River Blues and Gospel Festival. This year the festival is dedicated to Turner's 'Rocket 88', which some say is the first rock & roll song.

Jim O'Neal, Blues Trail Research director, says Turner was one of the most important figures in American music and his legacy is overshadowed by his abuse of former wife Tina Turner. Interesting.

Ike was not the model

Ike was not the model husband/father but that doesn't mean that he shouldn't be honored for his musical contributions. In actuality, alot of people are high achievers in their professional lives and failures in their personal lives. I'm not justifying what he did to Tina, I'm just saying what I know to be true.

I don't condone Ike's

I don't condone Ike's horrific treatment of Tina. He is however an important original architect of Rock & Roll and a very important figure in music history. He certainly had plenty of faults and bad acts, but I can think of quite of few Rock & Roll "heroes" who were abusive, drug addicts, drunks, racists, bedding underage girls, or were downright violent criminals, who are now revered and worshipped. As a human being, Ike was a failure. As a musician, producer, song-writer and innovator, he was a genius.
