Affordable fashion moved uptown as YBF Celebs celebrated the opening of TARGET’s first Manhattan location in East Harlem on Tuesday.

YBF Celebs enjoyed a live performance from Harlem-based musician Doug E. Fresh, who performed atop a throwback to the legendary Apollo Theatre stage.

Later folks viewed food demonstrations from renowned New York chef and featured Harlem Designer Collection artist Marcus Samuelsson. Yummy.

Our NYC correspondent Shayla was there and she chatted it up with Kelly Rowland.  Kel told us  that she is indeed a YBF Chic herself.

She reminded us about her album coming out and that she is working with her charity "I Heart My Girlfriends" which empowers women and young girls. 

The YBF also talked to supermodel Tyson Beckford who grew up in the Bronx, only a short distance away from East Harlem.  Tyson told us said he was excited about the jobs and opportunities having a TARGET in the neighborhood would bring.

Doug E. Fresh also expressed his happiness about the store opening in this economy and what he hopes it will bring to East Harlem.  He did a fab show too!

Rev Run chatted us up about what's going on with his family.  His wife, Justine, will be on HSN on July 29 while Jojo is running the music page for his Uncle's site.  Diggy was just signed to a recording deal and Angela and Vanessa are still working with their Pastry shoe collection among other projects.

Those Simmons work don't they?  That's great they all got their dad's work ethic. 

Tracee Ellis Ross also talked to us about her love of The YBF and how she is enjoying her summer in NYC. 

We can tell because she definitely has a glow.

She kicked it on the carpet with her sister Rhonda Ross, who lives in Harlem.

Wonder if the children of Miss Diana Ross actually shop at TARGET?
