Kelis Shows Off Baby Knight! Nas Struggling To Pay Her Mortgage?

There's that Jones baby! Kelis usually keeps Baby Knight under wraps, but yesterday, she was spotted putting him in his car seat before driving off to run her errands for the day.

He's getting big so quickly. Even looks like mommy and son have the same hair. Cute! More pics and Nas' mortgage drama with Kelis' house when you read on...

While mama Kelis is walking around looking great post-baby and having fun with the baby, Nas is struggling to pay her house note. The house she currently lives in is heavily behind in notes.

Nas issued court docs stating while he owes Kelis about $300K still in alimony and child support, he owes $53,000 on the mortgage notes of the house she's staying in. So he cut a deal with the bank--$17K upfront and about $17K monthly (double the monthly payments) from here on out to catch up. Some type of way, Kelis' lawyer claimed in court that Nas brings in $244,826/month.

Damn.

Wait wait wait wait wait. Didn't Nas cheat on Kelis befor and during her pregnancy? When they started having problems, didn't Nas try to cut her off financially and put her out? How would you react to that? Also, the laws of the state determine the divorce settlement, not the individuals. I'm sure the alimony is not for her lifetime either. Clearly most people on this post have never been married or known anyone who got a divorce that had any money.

I am currently about to divorce my husband after 25 years, this man has cheated on me so many times I don't have enough fingers on my hand to count. He is a big Medical Consultant and have a pick of any woman he wants. After all these years of taking care of him and my three children I just finish doing a degree, and looking for a job. There is nothing "independent" about Kelis' actions...not being able to fend for yourself without a man's money is actually very 1920's...going back to the times when women didn't work & depended on men. And I wish you people would stop acting like you know what happened in these people's marriage...I keep hearing he cheated but there were rumors of both of them doing dirt. And since when did money become payback for cheating? So what is the punishment for a broke person cheating? They are only good for reproducing ( and they need help with that), paying bills (if they're not broke) and being eye candy(that's if they are good looking). yes nobody know what goes on in a marriage that's true, but if a man have children and live with a woman for a number of years, yes the bitch is responsible for them, expecially if he was in the wrong, this is not so much for the woman but for the security of his child or children, expecially if the mother is the main career of the child/children. Once again proving my point that we use divorce court, which is run mostly by white people (take a look at the people who are really getting paid in this case, lol -- the lawyers and the judge...yeah...white) to take each other down. I'm a Nas fan but when you marry that independence stuff goes out the window, you are mine and I am yours and we're suppose to be doing this together. You're suppose to connected to each other for life, both legally and otherwise. He shouldn't have broken his vows plain and simple - breach of contract. These are the consequences. She's definitely taking him to the mat though. Men want to be men only when it's convenient. You married her with the said intention to love, honor and cherish and provide. Simply because you f* up and break your word or have a change of heart, the commitment shouldn't go out the window with it, and who knows what their relationship was like to make her go so hard at his pockets. I remember hearing "rumors" of infidelity going around Atlanta not too long after they married. Point is if dipping out isn't apart of your "understanding" then don't do it. But that "leave with what you came with" mentality is for as*holes because ideally people come with whole hearts, happy thoughts, and dignity and cheating definitely makes it harder to leave with that.
