Drake Hits The Much Music Awards & Performs At Power 106's Powerhouse

Drake made an appearance back in his hometown of Toronto yesterday for the Much music Awards. He hit the red carpet with fellow Canadian phenom Justin Beiber.

Drake ended up taking home the Best Hip Hop Music Video Award for "Successful" with Trey Songz. And he performed his single "Over". Nice. More pics and his Powerhouse performance when you read on....

And his performance at L.A.'s Powerhouse Saturday night:

He brought out NBA Champ Kobe Bryant before performing "Over".

Drake's subject matter is

Drake's subject matter is weak and whiDrake’s subject matter is weak and he’s whiny but it’s not like he’s from the inner-city United States so he can’t pull off being hard. He’s gone as far as he dares with his “blaccent” that he adopted. Problem is when you compare Drake to any rapper north of Waka Flocka Drake can’t compete. Clearly he’s not anywhere near the best of all time - KRS1, Chuck D, Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, ect.. – but he’s not even near the best of who is out now. Talib, Mos Def, Black Thought, Rhymefest, Eminem, etc.. are lightyears beyond him. The one thing he’s good at is marketing. Which is fine. But let’s not pretend he’s good at, or even good for, hip hop.
