Slim Thug Talks Ish About Black Women, Is A Publicity Slut While Doing So

I've made it very clear in past posts how I feel about anyone making black women the butt of their publicity jokes, "studies", let-me-tell-you-everything-YOU'RE-doing-wrong opinions, and all that negative jazz. I guess slamming black women to get some publicity for yourself is the ish to do in 2010 .

And rapper Slim Thug, LaToya Luckett's ex, is the latest culprit. Check out what the self proclaimed cheater had to say about why black women need to lower their standards, and why the "white side" of his girlfriend is the cause of their relationship working.

Here's a snippet from Slim Thug's heartfelt and uplifting interview with VIBE </sarcasm>:

Hmm. Was actually a fan of his up until now. Like I've said before, black women never have and never will need a man or ANYONE for that matter to validate their self worth or why we ae the fabulous beings that we are. But at the same time, it's more sickening than upsetting that your own need to degrade you as a woman as a desperate attempt at a publicity stunt. Hope you sell 251 albums this time Slim. I actually like slim thug but this comment he made really rubbed me the wrong way. I have a daughter so am I not to teach her to understand her worth and want good things for herself. Something he said is true, black men need to get their shit together and step up and no allow their women to have to lower their standards. Girls of all races are taught at a young age that a man is supposed to provide for you, think of all the princess stories! Those women were not out getting their own money they were in search of a prince to take care of them. Here is the difference between black and white women; white women find a man that is worth the investment and they do invest some time and maybe even some money in that man. While black women also see potential in men however they are so busy taking care of the kids of previous men that have walked out they dont have the time or money to invest. Black people need to start taking care of each other period, men need to stop laying down with women and making babies and walking away, leaving that women and child scorned, and women need to stop opening up their legs for a man just to hear the words I love you.

I think it's good that he

I think it's good that he thinks black women are independent, and also good that he thinks white women takes care of their man, but I think it's not about the race? Women should stand up for themselves if necessary, like when he said "she does the shit that I tell her to do" that's just wrong... I still believe that women should take care of their man and kids (without the man asking them to) in return, he will take care of them as well. I just think it's not right if a woman expect too much, kind of like we don't want our man to expect too much from us either. As a woman and as a man, we both have our responsibilities in a relationship, and I think we should respect that and know our limits. Can't be asking for too much nor give too much. Just know your limits, and quit blaming races! Black, white, asian, hispanic etc. are all equal, it just depends on how they were raised by their parents, and the environment that they are at.

There is only one King that walked this earth! The black man is not a God, and never will be. The problem is that men in general believe that women are here to please them. We are all equal and a woman's value is should not be defined by any man. Most men just want a beautiful woman who loves them for who they are, and not for what they have. In return, they will be loved back as equal partners and work together to build something real. Black men have always had it harder, mainly because they are a threat to white masculinity, and yet, ironically, are held up to more stringent standards by their own women!! It's said that Black men have to run to white women to feel more loved. A white woman can't understand being denied promotions or job opportunities because of skin color. Black men need black women or the race will lose it's solidarity. This isn't happening to Jews, or Asians, they stick and pool resources tightly. Black women have a lot to feel pride about, they are the most attractive, talent, wise and intelligent souls to ever take the female form. Yet, somehow, lately, they seem to feel that a Black man isn't of equal worth if he isn't materialistically balling. The Black man isn't an ATM to be withdrawn from. It's not cool or fair, so now Black men are waking up and going elsewhere for love. White women seem to have more resources available as well, which seems to be an additional lure to some broth's. I think that every women, no matter the color wants a man that is of a higher standard. (ie- Has more money then she has, can be a good provider) That's just genetically programmed in the female species. The difference at times is Non black women tend to hide it better. These are all great things to know, but they don't talk about about how to be tender with your mate. Just how to be self sufficient. Now look at Cosmo titles. COSMO: How to get your figure back after having a baby, 26 ways to improve your sex life with your mate. Tips for couples who want to start a family. Now the things you learn from Cosmo isn't always better. But I do get a sense of family union or togetherness from the articles they are reading. So in my opinion it would be nice if my black girl friend reads Cosmo every once in a while. Lol. Just a thought

I'm a black woman and I agree with what he says as far as black women standing by their men. My issue is how he has generalized black women. The way a woman treats her man is a reflection of how her mother and father opperate in their houshold. No father equals a lack of understanding of how to treat a man. Black women are pushing their own men away by focusing on tearing them down, from wallets, vs. being supportive, loving, and building them up. Iam shocked by how ignorant

Iam shocked by how ignorant this slim thug guy is! Iam an African and was fortunate enough to be born in an educated wealthy family. I have lived and worked in different parts of this world. I totally disagree with his stereotyping/generalization (Not all people behave in a certain way because they belong to a certain race, sex,social class e.t.c) but i think there is an element of truth to what he says. I have dated white as well as Afro-American golddigging chicks before. I can not attribute this negative trait to any race completely but i must admit (based on my experience) this negative trait seems to be more prevalent among Afro American women compared to white women. Could this be a product of an environment that most african americans are born/live in? Well i think this could be true to some extent (I believe a person is a product of his/her environment). Most Afro Americans are born and grow up in ghettos with no proper family upbringing and tend to develop certain negative traits associated with their environment and even when they grow up and become successful (are able to get out of the ghetto) they struggle to shackle off these negative traits (it takes a conscious effort to get away from one's screwed up upbringing and not a lot of people can/are willing to do it). Remember the saying "You can get a bitch out of the ghetto but can not take a ghetto out of a bitch"-(Excuse my language, just wanted to drive a point home)? How true is this saying? just a thought.

I don't know if you are really who you say you are but your comment didn't help much in my estimation. In any case, my African cousin, African peoples can't too much look down your noses at American Blacks. You all have enough documented cases of corrupt leaders, ruthless warlords, genocide and child mutilations to fill the pages of all the books in the US Library of Congress. We do have issues in the American urban communities but you all got way too many problems to begin to even think of looking down on us let alone speak it. Let's be real!
