Rihanna's Got A Brand New Bag: Do We Love It?

A lil something for my YBF fashion aficionados:

Marc Jacobs has come out with his brand new bag in honor of his apparent muse of the moment. The "Stam Bag" (in honor of model Jessica Stam) is so 3 years ago...and now it's the "Rihanna Bag". It really looks nothing like he's done before. Can't say I'm loving it, but maybe it'll grow on me. Much like the muse herself. So...do we love it?

While I have several Marc

While I have several Marc bags thanks to some killer sales and Nordstrom and Saks, I don't think I am feeling this Rhi Rhi bag at all!! I agree the handle would NOT make this a good bag for shopping and such. I would have to be a bag totally for looks with the right outfit I guess. "gotcha" I looked your comment about being an inspiration though. Its fabulous that Rhianna garnered this type of respect from a high-fashion designer. Marc took and Vuitton bag he designed on an Oprah show a while back, can anybody tell me where I can get that???

That bag is ugly, and it doesn't fit her "persona', that she is selling. If you are a rocker chick, why produce something that is the complete opposite. Just wrong, and the mere fact that the price is overpriced, is ridiculous. Your average fan is about 15 years old, and what 15 year old girl can afford that type of bag. She should have studied her demographic, and decide to market to their taste and what they can afford. If she had any say in the deal, or maybe she just put her name on it. Marc Jacobs even messed up on the Louis V bag he did, so I'm not surprised. He's the same designer that tried to sell the whole, Gringe looked that flopped.

I rate this MJ bag a 2 outta 10. I own his stam, and his bowler, (which I still rock..btw)and this bag is just weak. This bag cant compare to his other peices that he clearly put more effort into. This bag yells out one thing..BORING

She is 19 aren't you suppose to crawl before you walk? Shouldn't they be marketed for kids her age, struggling college kids? You can sell more if you don't over price your product. I must say I like the Stam bag better, but I'll carry this one on casual day... Marc J is one of my favorite designers and I adore Rhi Rhi so you cant really go wrong. What is wrong with everyone pitting B and Rhi against each other? I never understood why we as black women have to do this to ourselves, and to other people…… GET YA MIND RIGHT IN 08!!!!
